Yes sir. But it was me, N60bn in additional gains would have pained me sha.
But again, it's almost impossible that they wouldn't have seen this deal in the works, so it was their choice to exit at that time.

Aradel should have been about N1500 and above with the recent news

It was the sale by ACA that depressed the stock price to N500 and below.

Aradel start moving when ACA was done with selling.

The reason why private companies issues generous bonus shares prior to listing is to encourage affordability and liquidity.

Some of the private company have less less than 200 million shares at about N20,000 per share.

To ensure affordability they can do a 20 to 1 bonus shares , thereby increasing the number of shares to 4.2 billion.

They can then list the shares on NGX at N950

Stock split if the par value changes, some private companies have a par value of N5, N10 or whatever.

While most companies on NGX have a par value of 50k.

If a private company with a par value of N5 is coming to NGX at a par value of 50k, they will do a stock split whare by someone with 1 million units shares will have 10 million of the companies shares when it is listed on NGX in

Yes. but in this context, split is what's more likely, cos doing 20 for 1 as bonus would balloon the company's valuation by 20x.

Stock prices are adjusted down ward after stock split or issuance of bonus shares

Valuation will be the same

The only thing is that the outstanding shares will increase, will be affordable, liquid and probably have capital appreciation.


Presco is currently selling for roughly N1500 and has 1 billion shares, if they have a bonus share of 1 for 1 the stock price will reduce to N750 and outstanding shares will be 2 billion

More people will be able to afford the stock, it will require lesser money to buy 100k units needed to move the stock price.

If management is sure of the future of the stock, it is possible for it to get back to N1500 again based on earning growth after the 1 for 1 bonus

I didn't read the actual news.

Just went back now and saw were @KARLTOM corrected him and he acknowledged it was wrong.

OTE$ sold less than 0.5%.

With the way Aradel is jetting ahead, there should be hope for Oando . Renewed Hope that Oando will be lifted sooner or later as Mr Time pleases.
