I think one thing that can also change things is Wale Tinubu leaving the role of the ceo.
The person that laboured to turn Oando into a major upstream company to leave now that his effort is about to yield results and his uncle is president with more prospects in the horizon!?
Fear God ooo.
Who would talk to convince his uncle if the company needs some help from govt?

Thats a whopping 5 years from now and just about 100%. I believe you are being conservative anyway..I think there are 2 categories of investors. Those on aggressive growth and those on stability. If you have deep pockets you can comfortably play the stable game with the banks and its dividends. If you are still grwoing you can tilt towards aggresive. Well except the trajectory of the banks change. All things being equal there are stocks that can do this 100% in a year and thats a no brainer. So it just depends on the kind of imvestor one is.

By 2030,UBA will be more than ₦100!

UBA is a dividend machine .

UBA no be JAPAULGOLD or Ellah Lakes.

That will give a compounded annualized return of about 15%. Too poor.

Federal Government Bond can do better

I honestly commend those who bought Ellah Lakes.

It’s like playing Sportybet (Gambling)

No way in the world would my N5 go into that stock, even if it runs to 100.

Fake and scam is written all over it
According to SEC Chairman 60 million Nigerian gamble and 3 million Nigerians invest in the capital market.

I also think that 80% of the 3 million Nigerians who invest in the capital market are also gamblers

Dividends will take it to more than 25%.In the long run dividend stocks will beat inflation and devaluation of the Naira.

The industry is more like an elephant (Dangote), a leopard (BUA), and a cheetah (Lafarge). The cheetah is outrunning the others on asset efficiency and profitability, but the leopard is not dulling, and you know you can't ignore the mighty elephant.
like the analogy

Then you liken Oando to an unlucky Zebra seized by the leg while trying to cross a crocodile infested River.
The Zebra is halted in movement (price action) mid-River, and groaning, as a giant croc pulled it deeper and deeper into the deep.

The giant croc is 3 trillion naira humongous Oando indebtness.

Even if Oando announces a new acquisition, it may not move the price because it's like a new croc coming to join the first in pulling Zebra deeper down.

Only the sudden news of dramatic progress in debt repayment (in taking steps to free/rescue the Zebra from the crocs) can set off a monster bull in Oando now as I see it.
Shey they have some power assets connected to Grid.
If the Govt fulfills the 4tn Settlement pledge.
They could get some cushioning effect.

₦100, 140%, in 25yrs(2030)? undecided

Your risk appetite must be extremely conservative even for a very long term investor.

It's averagely below par for that kind of Capital appreciation in 25yrs at least for majority of folks here..
I can boldly say that.

Maybe you mean ₦1000 grin

you are the one contradicting yourself, if you know that dividend will take it to more than 25%, then you should have been saying that in 2028 the share price will hit N100. This will make mathematical sense than saying N100 in 5 years time.

Who else noticed the bulk of DANGCEM's revenue growth came from a price increase in the Nigerian market.

Pan African prices were basically flat yoy at about 130k per ton, whereas Nigerian price went from about 116k to 165k per ton you, despite the fact that the currency is nearly 10% stronger yoy.

It looks like cement demand in Nigeria has price inelasticity.

Look at the EBIDTA margins sef?

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by HesInMe: 8:37am On Oct 28, 2025
Great insight! I read somewhere that investors underestimate just how much state and local governments, flush with cash following devaluation and subsidy removal, are investing in new infrastructure requiring cement. This industry has tremendous tailwinds ahead.

The Nigerian populace is at the mercies of its merciless capitalists. Here, prices can double over night at the slightest trigger and never come down. In Europe, at the onset of the COVID crisis when there was panic shopping everywhere, you enter a mall and the shelves are almost empty but prices stayed practically unchanged in stack contrast to what obtains in Nigeria. There should be stricter regulations/laws to protect Nigerian consumers from price gouging.

But it's still not fair on the masses na.

Something that they agreed to keep at 7k per bag last year.

How do you run operations at 19% EBIDTA in one market and then hike prices to extort 59% EBIDTA in your home country? And we keep saying rent is high.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by HesInMe: 8:46am On Oct 28, 2025
We have an oligopoly here in the cement market that is difficulty to disrupt given high costs of entry and distribution. They will fix the price as much as they want.

Our capital market still has a long way to go. Going by this figure thats less than 2% of our population, While south africa and US have above 50% of their population.

This is why chinko did everything to enter naija market. They know naija are serious maga to the cement company based on price compared to thr country

Government should adopt the approach they use for the telecom sector where a provider cannot just unilaterally hike charges. These capitalists are torturing the Nigerian people in order to get listed or remain on forbes lists.

Seems importation can't even compete.
Cuz no one is talking about importation or taking advantage of the gap as importers are still doing for petrol imports.
