I find it very strange to criticise Tinubu for this present fantastic NGX performance under his watch. |

Oasisblue:Thr is Never a time too late to buy fundamental sound stock with projected good dividend payment for his class of investor. If u buy presco okomu Dan cement with present results. It will never be considered as too late. All u will be looking at is some level of pull back. I was concerned because that particular investor is an elder here |

Streetinvestor2:Woke up this morning thinking about this as well, could the gradual general drop is share prices of banks, be an indication of gradual pull out of investors in anticipation of the CGT? |

Payunsin:My brother, congrats for what you have achieved. And I wish you more success and more gains in the NGX. But let's stop being myopic in how we analyze public economic matters. The fact that you have made money under this govt does not mean majority of people or the masses are doing well under this govt. There are people who have made more than you have made, yet they are objective to acknowledge that majority are suffering under the policies of this govt. Many people who had money have witnessed the value of their money eroded badly because of policies of this govt. The N250m is worth about $175k today; but it was worth about $500,000 before the govt took over in 2023!. Your analogy is just like someone saying that Abacha's govt was generally very good because he made money or got contracts under the regime |

mikeapollo:You have made some points, but let us ask ourselves the question of why we are quick to use the dollar exchange rate when we see that there is some level of measurable progress. If he wanted to make dollars, would he invest in NGX? Evidently, no, he would have invested in the NYSE. So telling you that he made tangible profit in naira is valid and commensurate. While we are at it; are we now spending dollars in Nigeria? will he also convert the naira profit he made to dollars when he wants to buy land, buy houses, buy foodstuff, or pay for school fees and basic necessities? If he is paying naira, whose parity is far below that of the dollar, it is a gain for him. |

mikeapollo:Did I say the government is good? Street was condemning the market performance under Tinubu my take is that ,it's not a fair criticism. Of course people are suffering under this administration, I am a farmer and very close to the grassroots. But I still insist the two main policies that caused the hardship subsidy removal n floating of the Naira, I supported it cos both were not sustainable. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by mikeapollo: 12:40pm On Oct 28, 2025 |
guyzgirl:Yes of course. I just hope the market does not collapse eventually because of the greed of this govt. |

| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by mikeapollo: 12:44pm On Oct 28, 2025 |
Payunsin:The macro economic performance of this govt is poor and bad. The performance of the NGX pales into insignificance when compared to the larger economy. There are less than 4million people in the NGX, compared to 220million population i.e. 1.6% |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Payunsin: 12:49pm On Oct 28, 2025 |
mikeapollo:I don't understand ooo. Yes the macro economic performance is very, very, very bad does that mean we should not appreciate the NGX performance? I macro us down n NGX is down no be double jeopardy. |

EDUECO:If we (BARGAIN HUNTERS) make PROFIT and sell to REPURCHASE at LOWER price they called it (JIJO) but when the so called (LONG-TERM HOLDERS) CUT their LOSSES due to OVERHEAT they called it (PORTFOLIO REBALANCING) ![]() BARGAIN HUNTERS TAKE NOTE!

| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by mikeapollo: 12:51pm On Oct 28, 2025 |
perfectgen:Okay, I don't want to use the dollar any longer. Now I want to use the purchasing power parity in naira terms. Prices of goods and services have tripled between May 2023 and now. You can use the cost of cars, building materials, land, houses etc. as a guide. The N250m naira today would not be to buy what N150m would buy pre 2023! What about that? |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Mpeace(m): 12:52pm On Oct 28, 2025 |
bastardson:I am looking for money to buy the dip in price. Going by q2 result, Aradel's current price is justified except if they don't do well in Q3 or if they share the money like they did in q1. |

mikeapollo:What was the value of his N30 million in 2023 (in dollars) when this government took over and what is the current now worth of his N250 million in dollars in 2025 |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by mikeapollo: 1:04pm On Oct 28, 2025 |
Payunsin:Refer to my earlier post: We all ''appreciate'' the NGX ''performance'' that is why we are here. It is not this govt's doing per se.. When there is massive inflation in the economy, the prices of goods and services rise, including prices of stocks in the exchanges. Those who sell their shares at the time may think they have made ''huge profits'' in nominal terms but in reality, less gains when such profits are indexed against inflation, purchasing power parity etc. For instance a N200m gain in early 2023 is worth less than N120m gain in 2025, in real terms; that is my point. |

emmanuelewumi:The Bottom line is: he made huge gain in the NGX. Anybody can be fortunate to make big money in the capital market irrespective of which govt is in power, even without any serious govt. policies or reforms. Then answer this: what is the number and percentage of people who have made huge gains in the NGX compared to people who are now suffering and pushed into poverty since this govt came to power?. I can only praise a govt based on the bigger picture, not the micro picture. |
