Ngx needs to reconsider this 100k units esp for stocks with high share price. The day after okomus result it did 1billion in value yet price no change. Presco no event get any offer or bid above 100k units on the trade table since release of result. Nestle did over 2 billion in value yet barely moved..

awesomeJ:
AIRTEL's stagnation has gotten worse today.

It gained 16% in London to now be at over 5200.

NGX is still looking for who will sell 100k units at 2500.

Na who wan buy
I just dey reason watin fit happen to that ASi after the release of all q3 results. Look at the good results released that it didn't do much.
Now foreign investors will be sitting on the fence till they understand this government economy management for next yr.
Na so I take hang for total with no hope again with what I am seeing
In this case, the question is na who wan sell.

The stock has been on full bid for about 1 years now.

Same things I've been advocating.

There was a time when this stagnation affected almost every stock prices above 1k.

PRESCO and OKOMU were yet to join the club then.

They should just allow 10k units for stocks priced above 1000.

I wonder the particular north they come from.
The north I know has far many and larger poultry farm because it is cheaper to blend the food locally over thr because of availability of the raw materials needed. The northern politician invest more in farms.i would have had one before nigeria happened to north and I abandoned it

The way vdfgroup is hawking this their right issues self.I don get like five emails from different people ontop this 50 billion naira.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Shalom428: 9:05pm On Oct 28, 2025
The case of Airtel is who wan SELL , while the case of Total energies is who wan BUY. Nigeria still needs the big foreign pockets to make our market more liquid and more robust.

The question is , will this CGT encourage these big foreign pockets to come in ?

I swear through this tread alone I have made hmmm! a lot of money. There was someone who listed Cadbury as part of his top year recommendation n I checked it out n loaded it n d rest is history. All loco recommendations gave me 100% except japaul.
Keep an open mind , learn from anybody n most importantly have it at your back of mind u are here to make money and not to be right or criticize.

U always sound funny. That I called jaiz a glorified micro finance bank did not meqn it was junk stock when others whr raising real money to meet new capital base it only needed 20 billion to achieve it
What makes u think my portfolio is not doing well with atleast 25 yrs in this business is what I don't know
Then I have grown past to take some people call in this business because thr person don't fall into class I see as investor rather MH.
Finally I have never been on ngx looking for money to pay bills. I have never withdrawn from ngx and moved the money to my active businesses or any project. All I have ever done is move to bond and spent from dividend received. When alhaji paid me many zero from flour all the money returned to ngx ...so be calming down.
Na very few I dey consider thr call for here and the number has serious reduced over time.
I have never bought any stock based on his call instead I am already have some of them before he calls ...nothing personal

I'm a fan of Presco and Okomu, but this article was interesting. It talks about about the two companies compare to their international peers.

Good read.

We need more players in the sector. But I don't support his call for importation of palm oil into the country.

Since Okomu and Presco are making crazy margins, I don't know why Nigerians are not interested in the business.

The few big players are owned by foreigners, it was about 2 years ago that a Nigeria became the core investor of Presco when he bought bought the foreign investor.

Okomu and Presco, used to be owned by Bendel state government now Edo State and Delta and Federal Government. Until about 25 to 30 years ago when the companies were privatized and their shares sold to Nigerians.

I did not campaign to become president! I did not say ''Emi L'okan'' but these are some common sense approach to adopt:

1. could have avoided making such reckless statement like ''subsidy is gone whether you like it or not'' at the inauguration ground when there was no cabinet, no ministers, no policy, no nothing. this comment dislocated economic activity in the nation
2. set up cabinet first and committee to consult with industry players, stakeholders and Nigerians on how to implement the policy and address its effects.
3. could have waited few months and possibly assisted Dangote to complete the refinery faster. Negotiate, sell crude to him in exchange for refined products at agreed naira prices., subject to periodic adjustments.
4. approach the NASS for possible supplementary budget to address possible temporary shortfalls in the budget. (to avoid the nation being thrown into confusion with fuel queues, hunger, demonstrations, riots etc. and for companies to prepare and plan ahead)
5. gradual, piecemeal devaluation of the currency, especially after we might have stopped importing refined products, with Dangote supplying and meeting our local needs.
6. adopt a managed exchange rate system, instead of complete floatation (it never favours an import-dependent, developing country)
7. sell gas to electricity generating companies in Naira, (instead of selling in USD) because Nigerian citizens pay for electricity consumed in naira. Selling gas to the Gencos in USD is a sure way to kill them especially when you devalue your currency from about N500 to N1,500 to the USD.
8. adopt prudent measures in govt., cut down wasteful expenditures. show leadership by example. Nigerian president can travel by commercial flight if the people are suffering. Avoid traveling to international conferences with 400 delegates etc.
9. Prioritize and complete existing viable projects (e.g. roads) instead of rushing to award questionable, inflated projects to cronies with little or no transparency.
10. do not share excess crude account in raw cash to state govts (it causes inflation). ask each state to indicate a key infrastructure project in their state and draw up plans to finance these projects using proceeds in the account (or part thereof) under the supervision of supra -national bodies e.g. world bank, AfDB etc.
..............etc etc etc
You spoke well this should have been a better way to go about it and the negative impact will not hit us like this.
Buhari really killed this country. during his time anybody that have info on FX round trips milked this nation dry.

He had good intentions then but Nigerians are really smart people that exploit any loophole to their advantage. Naira normally should not be on this price if not for the way it was floated. Many SME are running on survival mode. It is not easy to comfortably pay above 30% on interest in an economy like ours that's why everyone is inflating prices to cover up.

To me this government has done more bad than good to us. Fuel subsidy and currency deregulation was a delicate matter that affects every aspect of the economy, it was very obvious that we need to do away with them for a healthy economy but not in the way it was done by this administration.

They acted in a way that showed they don't care about the impact on ordinary Nigerians or they didn't understand the nature and implications of the abrupt implementation to the economy. They did it in a theatrics way

Here we are today, Billions being shared by the tiers of govt with no workings, no impact, how have it translated to a better life?

Now they introduced a new tax regime to mop up the remaining liquid of the population. Come to think of it ARE WE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE GETTING TAX CUTS to help us cope with the deregulation and subsidy removal? Why is it now that we are struggling to put our head above the waters from their bad policies that they want to drown us the more? Why didn't they wait for the economy and livelihood of the people to improve before introducing this new tax?

This govt is inhumane and out of touch with it's people.
