Agbalowomeri:The "#joke" I wrote was for playfully calling him out as your second handle in context of your usual predictions in stock prices drop ; ![]() Not necessarily dismissing the possibility of GTCo price. However, arbtriage effect with LSE may stagger it + other good news in comparison to other banks into the new year just like forbearance effect did push it up. |

Makanjuola89:Oga, you are correct, except you using the FIRS act of 2020 Abi 2022 which expires officially in December 2025. from the TAX act 2026 For an individual PIT rate up to 25% thereabout will be applied on your withdrawals from 2026 unless 10m profit AND a sales value greater than 150m and above is triggered as someone interpreted above. |

Streetinvestor2:On the blurring... It was intentional; the goal is to strengthen cognitive impairment which adversely affects decision making process. The question now is: to what end? They want to keep as many as they can at that bridge of indecision. If you make your errors so conspicuous, it becomes easy to identify thereby prompting a quick and clear responsive rate especially the ones that confirms your initial bias. What is this initial bias? That Ellah lakes operation can best be summed as greys of shadiness; and therefore it is only right to bail out to play safe at least until the clouds are cleared. They don't want YOU to see things CLEARLY that will instantly ignite your brain neurons to take flight because of what is CLEARLY presented to the synapses. Let's keep them still in this bridge of indecisiveness until we figure out and program a better sentiment to keep things going on. |

The "AND" seem confusing. I interprete it that both condition must be present. Above 150 million AND above 10 million = Tax. What you are explaining here is "OR". Sold above 150 million "OR" gain above 10 million = Tax If its truly "AND" then; Sold below 150 million "AND" gain above 10 million = No Tax ( because both conditions are not met) I am open to more explanation Namaster: |

Cation:Me sef no understand I want to learn from the ordeal wey Loco go enter in 2026 |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Namaster: 12:23pm On Nov 01, 2025 |
Cation:This is how it's worded in the NTA 2025: "Provided that gains accruing to a person on disposal of shares in any Nigerian company shall not be chargeable gains where the (i) disposal proceeds, in aggregate, is less than 150,000,000 and the chargeable gain does not exceed 10,000,000 in any 12 consecutive months," It means the ONLY way to escape tax is that the Sales Proceeds must be less than #150M AND the Net Gain must be #10M or less. BOTH of these conditions must be present if you want to AVOID the CGT. If you meet ONLY one of the 2, then you'll be TAXED. Another way to illustrate this is: Above #150M sales proceeds but below #10M gain = TAX. Below #150M SP but above #10M gain = TAX. Above #150M SP and above #10M gain = TAX. Below #150M SP AND below #10M gain = NO TAX. Hope it's clearer now. |

Streetinvestor2:the main thing is the dividends for shareholders......I don't really trust wale at all,he has all the odds in his favor under this administration and his company can't pay dividends. It seems I will just stick to bank stocks and few companies with good dividend history. |

Namaster:They just want to destroy the capital market. This happens when someone is just desperate to dip hands into investors' portfolios and extort money from them by all means because he is looking for more revenue even though there is no accountability for other previous revenue-generating measures and policies implemented. Investors would leave the capital market for the bond and money markets, and invariably lead to a fall in interest rates. |

Bizibi:Which company in Oando's situation would pay dividends if the CEO and management are truly sincere and working to put the company on sound footing and not just trying to window-dress and deceive the shareholders? Do you expect dividends when equity and shareholders fund are in the negative? The share redistribution is also a form of ''dividend'' and it is even (in a way) better than the normal dividend because you can sell the shares for cash and you would not need to pay 10% WHT on it. |

Mpeace:Can you read the nonsense? Ngx should start giving fines to companies who post results you cant read . 1 million naira per day the rubbish stays up LOL. Absolute disgrace, and we want oyibos to come |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by mikeapollo: 1:23pm On Nov 01, 2025 |
funkymedina2:This should not be a big issue. The fault might be from the scanning machine that was used to scan/upload the result, either at the company or NGX and can be rectified/reloaded easily. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Odunharry(m): 1:25pm On Nov 01, 2025 |
leo1234:Both are less risky. The advantage mmf has over Fd is no penal charge for early withdraw as long funds has been invested for a certain period of time. |

funkymedina2:I agree with you. Yes, you have the right to be pissed about blurred images on a pdf document, no doubt. But what if the error is from the NGX scanning machine? As for Nigeria, if you hate how we always manage, E get why; no be today. |

Mpeace:Revenue of just N67 million for a company with a market capitalization of N50 billion I don't believe Ellah Lakes could only generate a revenue of N67 million. What they have spent on PR in orderr to maintain the stock price should be more than N67 million. How can they pay salaries from a revenue of N67 million |

emmaodet:My brother, the best thing to do is to get all those idle youths and middle aged people engaged in the agriculture value chain across the various vast acreage of land producing goods and services that can be consumed locally as well as exported internationally. If the vast acreage of land is cultivated massively especially along motorable routes, incubation grounds for kidnappers go reduce drastically. Places like the southern part of the country should be heavily invested in cash crops like oil palm, cocoa, rubber, cashew, cassava, beans etc while the north focuses on groundnuts, onions, shea butter, ginger, sorghum, wheat, etc. Those river basins should be made to sweat out theories invested in them. Civil and criminal offenders should be conscripted to serve time on farmlands to get them productive. If people are engaged in government sponsored agricultural programmes, especially outside their state of residence, dem no go get time to dey misbehave. Government should pack all those agberos I'm Lagos and commute them to serve their sentences in Borno or Yobe and cultivate onions and beans for at least 3 months per person. Agriculture still remains our low hanging fruit for economic empowerment. Just imagine saying that Nigeria still dey import crude oil palm bunch in 2025. Chinese people just dey look us say this people no serious at all. |

megawealth01:One thing about Donald. Na talk and do man and him no send anybody o as long as the thing dey him mind. Whether security or genocide labels are used, if some people feel that Donald is bluffing, they are on their own. Many forget that his daughter is married to a Lebanese Nigerian. 😁 If this tough designation will get exposure and sanctions for those financing the crimes and terror going on in the country, then it should increase the pace at which the FGN deals with such issues. |
