One thing about Donald. Na talk and do man and him no send anybody o as long as the thing dey him mind.

Whether security or genocide labels are used, if some people feel that Donald is bluffing, they are on their own. Many forget that his daughter is married to a Lebanese Nigerian. 😁

If this tough designation will get exposure and sanctions for those financing the crimes and terror going on in the country, then it should increase the pace at which the FGN deals with such issues.
Na so dem start with Libya. If people fail to see through the white lies of America, it is disappointing. The same US that refused to support Jonathan's fight against terrorism. The same US that refused to sell arms to Nigeria. What has changed? America will know grin

Oga, go and verify. Donald Trump's daughter, Tiffany is married to Michael Boulous, a product of the Bolous Group Empire (Massad and Sarah Boulous). Dude was even born in America as well, so he holds multiple passports. They are naturalised Nigerians thus making their son a Nigerian.

Sarah Boulous owns Society for Performing Arts in Nigeria and she is the face behind the Nigeria version of the reality show Dancing with the Stars that ruled the Nigerian Airways a few decades ago. Her husband, Massad Bolous runs the Bolous Group through SCOA PLC, his major holding company, and he is heavily invested in many sectors of the Nigerian economy such as toiletries, motorcycles, electronics, automobiles, heavy duty equipments, etc.

With what I read from the financial report today, I don’t see any good news coming from this company.
There’s no section on the financial report on mining, I thought he said he had moved from offshore business to mining, but no activity on mining. Na even 1million dem use buy land grin grin grin grin
I don enter one chance. The earlier I alight from this train the safer for me.

Nah. It’s a 46 day paper. So people were not really interested.
The bids were still enough but CBN wanted to sell at a lower yield.

Why does it happen to be ONLY their results that the machine brings up an error? Same machine that scanned BUA & FBN results in HD? grin

In addition, I don't think paper results/disclosures are still being sent in paper format... smiley
mikeapollo:
I agree with you.
Yes, you have the right to be pissed about blurred images on a pdf document, no doubt.
But what if the error is from the NGX scanning machine?
As for Nigeria, if you hate how we always manage, E get why; no be today.

Namaster:
This is how it's worded in the NTA 2025:

"Provided that gains accruing to a person on disposal of shares in any Nigerian company shall not be chargeable gains where the

(i) disposal proceeds, in aggregate, is less than 150,000,000 and the chargeable gain does not exceed 10,000,000 in any 12 consecutive months,"

From your explanation, if I make above 10m in 2026, and I use the whole proceeds to buy another stock in that same year, I’ll be exempt if I sell in 2027, as that’s a new 12 months and my cost price for that particular year has changed.

It means the ONLY way to escape tax is that the Sales Proceeds must be less than #150M AND the Net Gain must be #10M or less.

BOTH of these conditions must be present if you want to AVOID the CGT.

If you meet ONLY one of the 2, then you'll be TAXED.

Another way to illustrate this is:

Above #150M sales proceeds but below #10M gain = TAX.

Below #150M SP but above #10M gain = TAX.

Above #150M SP and above #10M gain = TAX.

Below #150M SP AND below #10M gain = NO TAX.

Hope it's clearer now.
If I sell , and use the proceeds to buy another stock, doesn’t it mean I’ll be exempt if I sell the next year, as my cost price for my new stock changed?

Question- Why would NGX need to use a scanner?, a softcopy should have been sent, as it is known to all parties that the document is to be uploaded, the hard copy should only be complimentary, not even the main document. I put this entirely on the company.
There is also one other company that uses “camscannner”; then I ask myself, with a valuation of ‘x’ billion and revenue in millions/ billions, you can’t ensure to use a proper scanner. That to me is enough indication of the quality of management, and they certainly do not deserve my money.

I am not trying to exonerate the company or NGX. My point is that the issue can be fixed easily without much damage

But again, it will depend on whether what you are going to sell next year is less than N150m AND your gain is also less than N10m; otherwise you would be taxed.

Just a quick observation on Oando Q3 2025 Results:
The debt recovery of a huge N420b (Note 4) from a related entity looks curious:
I hope this is not a strategy to acquire the remainder 3billion shares (for redistribution) and pay off minority shareholders? grin

On the other hand, the N109.7b Operating loss was mainly due to a N311.567b fair value loss on modification of financial asset (Note 4), which is a one off thing, hence the Operating result could have been different if this was treated or classified differently.

You have problem with usa stand on killings in nigeria and the name it calls the killings. What kind of joker are u
You think they don't see ur officials celebrating with these terrorist in event, communities and freely working about with arms
These guys are being released from prisons as repentant people
These guys are being recruited in ur military as born again
These guys attack C communities and is last prayers to even children
These guys attack M communities and is mostly abductions Then they marry the women. The families or government pay huge ransom, food, drugs, bikes and they show us as they share this things or count the money.
The local and state government in some region tells u they are not really bad people
Why do we pretend and not tell ourselves the truth because our village people are in charge

Should have been stated as audited FY as at July 31st or year ending July 2025. However, shouldn't they be in breach signing in October?
Needs to be made readable too. Financial signees on certification (Head of accounts, Financial Manager) are not consistent. I wish they would pay a bit more attention to what is handed out to the public. What of statement ending September 2025? Already in breach I guess.

Relax. The first was unaudited. Now this should be the audited but wrongly captioned. They would probably correct in the coming week. That is not to say I am impressed….far from it.

I apologize for insinuating your statement was wrong.
No qualms my brother. I no even vex with the statement at all. Just wanted to share some knowledge.

On a lighter note, the FGN can engage Pastor Paul Adefarasin to talk to President Trump on the issue since na him be dem Pastor and even officiated at their wedding.

Even though a lot of people may be annoyed with the designation and castigate the US about the CPC thingy. If they think deeply and juxtaposed thw security events with what is going on in other African countries, you'll realise that it is all about resource control within selected territorial areas.

Events in Sudan and Congo which have markers that look genocidal, will make anyone have a rethink about the nonsensical way Buhari handled the whole Boko Haram issue.

The Sudan issue is all about the gold and resources therein the country and the militia are being rumoured to be sponsored by some wealthy countries in the middle east which Nigeria must be careful of.

The militia guys in Sudan were used by the government to wage a civil war on the dark skinned people and drive the dark skinned Sudanese into creating South Sudan.

Today, that same militia has now turned on their partners in government, fighting them and trying to gain control of areas of Sudan laden with gold and other mineral resources.

The aim is also to create chaos and insecurity to enable them gain access to these resources. Unfortunately, the local population ha e also gotten themselves involved in crime such as kidnapping which worsens the scenarios therein.

Africans especially West Africa needs to wake up and smell the coffee so that they can protect themselves against any incursion into the region. Education and knowledge transfer needs to be prioritised across the region for positive enlightenment to the younger ones.

In addition to this, economies of these countries need to grow positively at double digit rates to witness development as well as the proposal that ECOMOG needs to be resuscitated and strengthened to combat any insurgents from militias and terrorists in the region.

The politicians and the people have a lot of work to do to secure their territorial areas.
