Otedola's boys seriously defending FBNH....

** All these Trump invasion fear will still go last las....
There are rules and protocols to any country intervening in another's affairs....
While condemning genocide in it's entirety, I still don't expect any country to just barge into another just like that...
There'll must have gotten to some level of dialogue or order breakdown

** Concerning CGT, only the super rich are afraid, they want to keep collecting but not ready to sacrifice anything, they are altogether corrupt....they want to keep fleecing on the country.......... tongue
If you make huge gain, the right thing is to also pay your tax.....
All these Tax shouting upandan, they pay ridiculous ones outside the country but don't want to pay here, e no go work like that.
NGX will be fine at the end of the day.
Please what is your definition of huge gain?

As in if you make huge gain, the right thing to do is to also pay your tax.

But I will also discuss with my brokers if I can arrange some cross-deals with them to beat the CGT law if possible.
Sounds like Tax Planning to me.

NTAA 2025 says you MUST disclose this.
And that the Tax Authority has the power to INVALIDATE such arrangements and tax you accordingly.

Even though Tax Planning and Tax Avoidance is LEGAL, the New Laws have a provision that OBLIGATES you to tell them how you are planning to avoid tax and essentially gives them the power to REJECT your tax planning and tax avoidance measures.

It's one of the most RIDICULOUS things I've ever read in my entire life.

Oyedele really COOKED with the New Laws.

Why do you want to sell it in July next year? Do you have a crystal ball that says it will double by July 2026? The argument is that people are being misled into selling now, thinking it’s the better strategy, and I’m telling you it’s not. If you want to sell now, no problem, but for most investors who rotate their cash, they can sell and buy something else directly without being taxed, as long as it’s within the same tax year.
You're very confused.

Good thing when i write, it's not for people with emotional garbages like yourself, so bask on in your confusion and silly emotions.

Don't mind Taiwo and other promoters of the new law. They just copied and pasted laws that they don't have the right infrastructure and environment to implement.

My intended discussion with my stock brokers is only to ensure that I don't miss out on units of the particular stocks when I want to repurchase it in future. But I will pay all the brokerage fees, NGX commission, VAT on the transaction etc.
If it is permissible by NGX/SEC rules, the FIRS would not do jack! All that would be required is to pay the right taxes, if any.

I’m sorry if you can’t understand simple English; I honestly wonder how you manage your trading. We’ll revisit this matter next year when people start applying it here. According to you, we should all sell, that’s a very foolish idea, if you ask me.

If everyone sells, the market tanks, and then you’ll be the same person blaming others. We all sell to rebase, so who exactly will buy? Or do I sell to you, and you buy from me? Lol. I think you need to take some comprehension classes. grin grin grin

Some twerp talking trash, what exactly is your purpose here? How many stocks have you actually called out? The only thing I ever read from you is how you supposedly trade 5% of all the NGX. I’ve never seen you contribute anything in the original spirit of this thread. At least I’ve made a few calls here that made money for me and others. Can you show even one of yours? I can say categorically that I bring more value to this thread than you do, you’re just an empty talking head. cheesy

In fact, I’m going out to have a Hero grin . I really hope Seun implements a post-ranking system like they have on Reddit, so we can see whose posts end up at the bottom. undecided

Lol, most of you seem to have forgotten the original essence of this thread. The name of this thread is “Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts,” not “Show Your Quarterly.”

You can open a new one where you and the likes of awesomeJ can display your fictitious returns. Here, we discuss stocks, identifying those with a high probability of gains or those likely to fall. Everything else is just jara. cool

How can the "fight" get interesting when the weak one is always in a hurry to report posts?

I've had arguments with others here, but there's only one for whom i get blocked cos he reports posts he fears.

So you don’t see very well either. I was blocked three times here, look at my moniker and you’ll understand. Unlike you, I know it’s bots doing that when you reply to certain posts that contain specific words.

I don’t have time to block anybody. I could take you up in my sleep and smoke you like a cigarette. grin grin grin

That guy has issues.
I can see its about his perceived irrelevance?

I think its self esteem issues.

Cos i wonder how my posts now should him feel irrelevant on th thread.

An easy fix would be for him to just block my post instaed of waiting inperpetuity to see where i make mistakes that he can hijack.

Even the mistakes sef, i make them, but he never correctly identifies them, na the ones wen nor get mistake him dey always try quote out of desperation.

Maybe it's a spiritual problem.

Market is down 2.3% MTD,
I'm up 1.75 despite a big dip in NESTLE and realized loss in TOTAL.

Everyone has their time, long termers enjoy 3 digit returns, traders like me prefer consistency whether bull or bear, makes no difference although bull markets are easier to trade.

Many are only interested how individual stock are trading MTD.Nbody is really trading market. U are using ASI numbers which is never a true picture of what is happening on ngx. Then again u are daily trader not just jijo guys too so ur view is different. Long timer and jijo will tell u how far thr portfolio are bleeding and not the yeye 2.3 %
