awesomeJ:You need 1.5 to 2 million naira to farm one hectare of rice farm depending on the location. You can get 50-70 bags of rice from one hectare depending on the soil and your luck. Nigeria has one of the lowest output per hectare in Africa because of lack improved seed and lower farmers knowledge. one bag of paddy rice now goes for 35,000 or lower. even if you have the maximum output of 70 bags per hectare, your total proceed is 2.4 milion. The average out per one hectare in Nigeria is between 45 bags to 60 bags. I have pdf that details all our expenses. I will check and see if I can drop it here. |

Itzlinda:Thanks for sharing. So part of the problem as you mentioned is the seed and farmer's knowledge. If these are fixed and you can get your output to 80 bags per hectare while cost stay at N1.8m, that looks like a gross margin above 50% at current prices. But I imagine it won't be as easy as said. I wonder what those IITA guys are doing if our farmers are still having "sub prime" rice seeds given how much of a staple rice is. |

Is it Donald Trump turning the NSE red, or is something else happening? Some stocks have very low volume traded. |

awesomeJ:Yes, If we can to that level of output we wont even be afraid of rice importation as we can compete with farmers from other countries, but now we cannot |

emmanuelewumi:My Chairman, na the fake valuation of houses in derelict environment for Lagos dey make many to think NGN200 Million is small money especially in liquid assets. They will paint houses in colour white, put strobe and disco lights in its living areas and start calling outrageous prices whereas it is the same people that rotating the houses amongst themselves. Those houses can not command such prices with any reputable bank if they are being used as collaterals. If Emiefele has not printed so much money I to a few hands in the system under the guise of ways and means, would people be saying NGN200 Million liquidity is not big money. How many people in the world including America have banking and non banking liquidity assets worth NGN200 Million. |

Fred2020:People need to be reminded that bull will not continue forever. The bull has been around for some times now that many now view any red as an aberration. While nobody might say exactly when we will enter a bear market,we all must not forget that the stock market runs in a cycle. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Streetinvestor2: 3:37pm On Nov 06, 2025 |
pluto09:So what cycle do we have now. I guise failed government/failed policy cycle The ngx was just recovering from devaluation hit and boom they stricked again. It was never real a bull cycle we had if we do the calculations..I will call it right pricing based on current exchange and inflation on the street |

| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by mikeapollo: 3:39pm On Nov 06, 2025 |
pluto09:Historically, your point is totally correct. However, for the current situation the horizon does not look good for a recovery because of the CGT. |

Streetinvestor2:The bill is sponsored by Senator Orji Kalu of Abia. The contents looks decent for Nigerian investors and workers not to get left out in the EV value chain. Google or ask AI bigger EV’s are being dished out by China. |

| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Streetinvestor2: 4:03pm On Nov 06, 2025 |

Mpeace:I use solar for most of my electricity. The technology is still evolving and it requires more efficient use of electricity to get the best from it. You’ll need genuine inverter A/C’s that are 50 to 70% more efficient than common piston compressor A/C’s amongst many adjustments to get the best out of them. Also good lithium batteries etc. China is already strategically moving ahead very fast in adopting EV’s through hard work. Africa may be laid back or may pickup. We even need to build simple roads etc first sef. |

BabsO2:Those type are from 30 million up.How many do u see on the road if not government bought |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by mikeapollo: 4:11pm On Nov 06, 2025 |
emmanuelewumi:The point is, what is the real worth of the N200m? Things are bad now such that a single economy policy by a govt can make that money lose value overnight. A country where prices of goods and services can just double or triple overnight just like that. A bottle of water was N30 just a few years ago. Today, it is selling for N200-N300. It is the trend and fear of inflation. |

Utalinmou:Hmm. What's wrong with the business? |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by aj8(m): 4:14pm On Nov 06, 2025 |
Toluway:Depends on what the 200m is on…e.g Is it on top of a befitting self-ownership accommodation, or rented accommodation, significant school fees at all levels or nil dependents except aging parents, better life augmented by solar inverters and regular water supply from an efficient borehole, or just annual expenses for vacation abroad or maybe enough to dine in luxurious cuisines at home or abroad or fly business class, or on numerous philanthropic ventures. Money must meet needs and improve the standard of living for it not to seem more of vanity. “ Money you do not spend is not yours, life is for the living” …Femi Otedola To which I just want to add ………………by the grace of God. |
