This is even moderate buildings in festac and surulere, by the time you get to Mushin, Lagos Island, parts of Ajegunle , deep inside Fagba , you will realize that Lagos is indeed a cement Bomb.

One of the numerous reasons I have vowed never to live in Festac and Gowon Estate. Very old, dirty and dilapidation Jakande Buildings, very bad and terrible roads leading to the estates.

Gowon Estate is not like that oooo

I feel some states should make it mandatory that a house should get a paint job every 6-10 years. If all houses did so, it would boost their rental value.

This is festac.... Each apartment or whatever it's called contains about 7 or more persons so multiple that by number of apartments in each block or building and multiple by at least 100 within about 2 hectares..... It crazy living crowded in the homes and in the neighborhood with crazy stuff happening now and then.

You have a sort of such in Singapore, but the public housing areas and buildings are regularly maintained. They have a few issues periodically (lifts not working as scheduled or properly). We lack a maintenance culture. It is one reason public housing might not even work well in Nigeria. LagosHOMS has open gutters with toilet sheet oozing out in the bare view.
