There is nothing to learn from that "abnormal" marriage: not only that there is a generation gap between the couple, the conjugal right/love is shared with multiple women who are equally married to the same man besides concubines or side chicks.
If any lessons at all, it should be for Ned to learn that 💰 cannot buy affection. Normally, if not madness of materialism what is17year old girl doing with a 65 years old grand papa with multiple wives. For crying out loud, what did Regina know about marriage at 17 if not sex, but marriage is way beyond sexual intercourse.
