You think 75k is real?
Even 120k isn't.

If this news spreads fast enough 140k will hold, if more slowly, you still won't buy this market below 130k.
Una really think say na NSEMPA dey run this market grin

Exactly
That was my major concern as someone who has paid his dues in the market based on devaluation and inflation. The new guys coming in should go negotiate for thr reduction from 25% to what they can sacrifice e no concern me.I have paid my own dues. When I make new gains next yr we can argue that one .I don't even have plans to remove the money from the market soon

Your TA has failed u again. U will see green tomorrow
I kinda agree that tomorrow will be green but in this market anything is possible. One thing I am sure of is that by March 2026 these prices will look like a dream.

I entered the market yesterday so I chop the full bleeding today. However the one question I asked myself was, if the Zenith Bank I bought yesterday at N59.5 had stayed at N59.5 how would I have felt?

I bought based on the fundamentals of the company. Nothing has changed about that.

For me I siddon for corner dey look the drama. The trajectory of the economy has not changed so all this is noise.

I have no real idea what people here trade.
But this is a market I consistently profit from knowing.

The last time I had a monthly loss was March of 2024. Every month since has been green. Mostly above 10%.

You only achieve that by being right more times than you're wrong.

What if I was waiting for 120k?

I would have missed out on say N30m in earnings.

That's significant considering that I didn't even have 100k net at the start of the year. I had N2m total vs N7m in debts to banks and friends. So -N5m really. God works Miracles sha.

So you're home free be that.

Even when you're ready to exit, you should still find ways to pay less than 5% based on the tax provisions.

I just needed all my gains of many yrs to be in the bag.Infact many pumping go happen in December before 31 by big guys in the market to reset thr portfolio.
Look at it this way.If u push the price so high and next yr it drops small.Na loss u go even declare for CGT. I expect better bull in December

Your opinion.

This quarter has been bearish mostly . I'm up 20%+ despite today's sell off.

When you have the experience, it'll be easier to relate.

I doubt if government will remove the CGT. They know how to play the game. They just promise, and everything calms, then they start enforcement.

That one na jijo people wahala not the big guys that are really invested in the market again. Tax is yearly affairs. If I don't sell next yr so by January 1 2027 it becomes another reset for profit or loss for 2027 declaration

It is the bearish season that you can buy shares that will give you a dividend yield of 50 to 100 percent.

Some folks bought UBA around ₦4 in 2019/2020 and that will give you a dividend yield of around 100 percent.

A Kpakus analyst like you would have missed the great investment. cool

70 percent of companies in Nigeria that will post losses for like 10 years will likely fold up.

I don't invest in mediocre(loss making) companies.

The 5% crash seems to break circuit at Taiwo's team, it's good he put out that tweet.

Once the December 31st starts hitting headlines, market should start moving back up tomorrow.
I read the tweet. I think we are good to go now.

Something common sense should have told him before now.

Let's even say the "reset" happens and the "cost base" becomes the higher of your purchase price and 31st December, 2025. That's only one part of the problem plus the "reset" is a one-off event. My major concern is the 25%-30% CGT. It's too much. Also, in my opinion the 150m and 10m criteria are not much. They should be increased to 500m and 50m🚶🚶

grin grin To be honest, I never reach the 150m tax bracket but I foresee reaching there in the near future. So na my future I dey fight for like this angry. "... total gain do not exceed #10m..." . 10% of 150m has already exceeded 10m. I might as well just put that money in fixed deposit at 20% and sleep easy. The more I think about it, the angrier I get

That he is seen as god in a region does not mean he has two heads. The position is not anyone birth right too. They removed gej with external intervention. Why do u think it cannot happen to them.Oga if Nigerias stamp thr feet on the ground and say the last kind of rigging will not happen. They will go or wahala go burst for streets. Look at what is happening around our neighboring countries.
