nosa2:Are u saying via PO it won't be traceable. The holdings at a point will be nade know to sec unless is via proxy .And why is the proxy not still going via PP to make a positive announcement about it to the public Do u know the impact it could make if they announced a strategic investor has already committed 100bilion to the fund raising .And they are out to just get 135 billion remaining The money no dey anywhere..lol |

That's not the role of the SEC when it registers new securities (like new public offers). The primary reason for registration of securities is to ensure that investors are given all the relevant information to guide them to make a realistic evaluation of the merits of the securities and to decide whether or not to buy and at what price. Approval of listings is mostly a check-the-box function. Whatever you think of Ellah Lake's prospects, you should definitely not read from the SEC's approval of the offer that the company can attract the desired funding. yMcy56: |

Index now up 3.3% on MTNN uptick. Inflows now N36bn. Yesterday when I said 140k would hold, it seemed like fantasy to a lot of people. |

HesInMe:I disagreed with this. Are you saying any listed Company can just come up with any fund raising amount, push it to SEC and SEC just approve it without carrying out proper evaluation of the capabilities of such company? If this is so, why did same SEC refused the merger of Dangfoods because of Dangrice?? Is one of the role of SEC not to protect investors and investors funds? |

PuristForest:Oando receovered 10% after hitting 36...very interesting play.....i'd say it was done but i already said that before...so me, only if oando can break 48 then it will give credence to the bottom else 32 is next.....best line of play is nibble in at every juncture ........DYOR Its time to jump into HMCALL, only for interested, nibble not all in.. ref: https://www.nairaland.com/1131485/nigerian-stock-exchange-market-pick/9775#137392208 ewnation/hmcall-november-1st-2025-update ewnation/ngx |

yMcy56:It is different thing.Sec can not stop any listed company which has no issues from raising fund. The Dan food had issues because the rice company was not in existence. So they saw scam in it.If they give u approval does not mean u can raise the fund. When established financial crime happens. SEC can sanction the company or delist it.And efcc can take over. Like what will happen with kpakus....na joke oh I hope u know the owners of the business must approve it which is the most important aspect to SEC.So once management gets approval from shareholders. That area is solved because SEC expect the owners of the business to have done the right DD before passing it.If shareholders reject it SEC won't approve |

Full bid plenty, especially insurance Coy. But some notable stubborn ones are not ready to join the full bid party (JP, Cileasing). Please release the stock to move for the sake of your friend Loco. Streetinvestor2: |

It's all good. I assume this is MC or ATLASS 86.82 is the total purchase cost (unit price + brokerage fees) 88.17 is your break even price. 78.00 is the SP at market open. It will be updated to 85.80 ![]() Valthegreat: |
