Instead of such insensitive and your consistent negative comments why dont you just keep quiet sometimes? You hardly give any positive or realistic stock recommendation on this platform since i have been here.

I wish there is a permanent block button for people like you though. God bless those who bring sound advice for investors here.
The forum is not your property o
Why don't you skip comments that you don't like? There is a block button na. You can block me. We gather dey here grin grin grin

At least the uncertainty about CGT seems over. We may now have a normal Santa 🧑‍🎄 rally in December/January.
The uncertainty about CGT is not yet totally over.
Only one aspect has been clarified i.e. reference price(Dec 31) to be used as ''cost price''.
The market will still recoil if the rate is not amended by mid December.

Hello Mr Toyeoye.

The bug is still there.
This looks more like a browser crash than a refresh issue probably from low memory or idle browser state on mobile to mention a few. I'd look into optimizing that. Appreciate your patience 🙏

It is not just the price at December 31, 2025 that will be used as the base price. It is the higher of the cost of acquiring the share and the price as at Dec 31 2025.

You buy share for N50 in 2020. By December 31 2025 price is N35 and by April 2026 you sell for N55. Your base price will be N50 and so tax will be on N5

Okay, that is the only aspect that has been clarified for now.
The rate still needs to be resolved.

Agba is like Michael Burry, after predicting the housing bubble in 2008 and making some money, he hasn’t made any meaningful prediction since. In fact, he’s even worse than Agba; he’s currently betting on an AI bubble burst. All his calls are about market crashes, while others are out there making money.

By the way, what kind of fixed deposit pays 20%?

grin grin cheesy

Following his tweet yesterday evening, Oyedele went on Channels again this morning to clarify the CGT implementation. 5% dip made them see they needed to calm nerves.

99% of portfolios are below N150m
More interesting? Average age of investors is above 50 years in a country where the average age is 18??

That Taiwo Oyedele is misleading the public in order to impress the president and/or finance minister who gave him the job . How can he say investors are going to benefit from the N150m threshold when they never had to worry about any threshold for tax in the past?
He is the same person that dismissed the concerns of investors and published a lengthy writeup just over a week ago to justify everything about the law but the market crashed afterwards. His comments and insistence are creating more problems . The Finance Minister has been more diplomatic and concilstory n his comments and approach.

The video from the tax master was revealing. One thing I was able to deduce was that Agba is responsible for the red and indeed the double bottom grin grin

Next we await October inflation by Friday or next Monday.

16.xx would be nice.

Let MPC do a 300bps cut and start dropping fixed income yields too ahead of full year '25 results.

Let's have our normal January rally again.

Rates were as high as 26% some months ago; I think last year.
Maybe oga Agba got those decades-tenored FGN Bonds.
