I uploaded 2 books(book 1 and 2) a week today. 2 days later, i edited the content to link up to two books (you know something like.. if you enjoy this book, here is lînk for book 2)

Now, I clicked submit and went to sleep. But wen i woke in the morning, volume 1 went live but volume 2 was blocked(something that was live before o.. and had even sold more copies than volume 1.. infact it top the new release in that category)

I'm pained because this feels like a racial attack. Maybe those their indian reviewers are jealous. Other publishers books were topping that category before mine(volume 2) started topping. I didn't do any black seo.. I used same keywords for book 1 and book 2

I sent an appeal yesterday explaining that the blocked book is a sequel to the first book and that I only added lînk to each book so that readers can easily find (book 1 or book 2.. depending on which one they're reading)

And tey promised to get back to me. Now, i just received a mail that they're upholding their decision due to a disappointing customer experience shvt..


My anger is that this book in question is a sequel to another book.. and the volume 1 is selling like mad.. and the link(which will show not available) to volume 2(blocked book) is inside..

What do i do please?


Though I've sent another appeal but I'm afraid because it might change nothing because Amazon rectifies fault later wen it's too late.

So am asking, should i just change title and subtitle and re-upload the book(as book 2)?

You didn't have to put a link inside the book for people to know it was a series, are you new? Tag it #1, upload and tag them together as a duology, Amazon will automatically show them up together as #1 and #2 because you uploaded them as a SERIES 👀

I think that was where i messed up. But to be honest, the link i put was follow-up link and review link 🫣.. maybe the 2 links triggered the bot

If you're creating a new account, you need a new device, a new identity, and so on. Everything should be entirely new including your sim card. Ensure nobody has used it for KDP before.

Untoldtrúth is right. Where exactly did you put the link? Even though that is not enough to get your book blocked, these guys don't care. The worst part is that you're dealing with bots. AI has no emotion and only does what it's programmed to do.

After I read somewhere in their rules that placing links that will take readers out of Amazon is prohibited, which I don't do, anyway. I know you didn't do that, you simply placed the link to the other book and a review request.

So what I did was to place the link at the end of the book, or at the middle. This is because even though you didn't do anything wrong, the bot would look out for just anything no matter how small.

I know people who got their book blocked because they simply edited some information which is not against their rules. I have seen it happen many times but some Amazon-do-good publishers will tell you that you're in ass wrong.

I love AI but using AI totally for moderation is evil and stupid. When dealing with these big companies, while focusing on solving your fans' problems, ensure you're making ways to pack a lot of money and diversify.

I remind myself this every morning.

Don't even make any attempt to create a new account cos if you do, Amazon will definitely fish you out and all your earnings will be held for life.


Just forget about that title or topic and focus on creating new quality kindle books on other topics.


And in your next publications, avoid adding external links to your kindle book.

That's the unfortunate mess we're in now. Like I said, you're dealing with a bot with no emotions. Even if it falsely flagged down your book at first, a possibility of your other books getting blocked is 90%. I'm surprised your account hasn't been banned considering that it's been 19 times!

Amazon are wicked my boss. Just like you said, after sending the second appeal, I received a "upholding our former decision" response in less than 10 mins.. true true Amazon runs on bot o.. I don't blame Jè.ff Bezós.. group of persons no fit moderator over ten million books plus..

I have removed everylink from the book and have now modified the title and subtitle.. and am set to upload.. just that I'll be doing the cover in the morning.


Now, my question is.. I need to remove the link of the book 2(blocked book) that I put inside the book 1.. hope in doing that, the book 1 won't also get blocked(while in review) for no reason (Amazon bot dey wicked)

😅It honestly befuddles me. Unless it is some deeply technical stuff - but even that you can still find online for free. It is exactly like some random guy charging me to watch his YouTube videos when others are begging me to subscribe for free. Or some unknown musician charging radio stations to play his music!

And be wondering why their books are getting blocked when they don't tick the AI help button before publishing, AI can sniff AI, you can get away with it once, maybe even twice but not every time.
