mikeapollo:Election is in February 2027 Go check history for ASI performances the year before each election. Make someone help us with the data ![]() |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by mikeapollo: 9:27am On Nov 14, 2025 |
Agbalowomeri:Sorry, the election is Feb2027. Yes, the ASI performance usually shrinks just before elections, usually in the last quarter (Oct-Dec) of the preceding year. Then it jumps back after a successful election. From now to October 2026 is almost a year, long enough to achieve something in the market if this govt does not disrupt it with silly things like the CGT etc. |

Agbalowomeri:So people should stay away from the market for almost 3 years like you did? Most people here made over 100% ROI this year. You need to review your method and approach. |

| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by unite4real: 9:38am On Nov 14, 2025 |
Agbalowomeri:If someone asked you around November last year to estimate what the ASI will do in the next one year into 2025, you would have been as bearish as always. There is never a time that stocks are expected to perform positively as far as you are concerned. Why is this so abeg. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Agbalowomeri: 9:47am On Nov 14, 2025 |
unite4real:Because your mind only registers the bearish calls that are not aligned with your personal biases. I have made more bullish calls than bearish calls if you follow this platform very well ![]() |

leo1234:No one can time the market, but you can make better informed and structured decision based on information on the chart. There will always be pointers to these events. We saw these selloffs happening, initially was looking more on the insurance subsector, i even described it as a 'tsunami', and this is exactly what it felt like these past week, but truth is that the market wide selloff was also exacerbated by trumps comment amidst recent existing national uncertainties. From a technical perspective, we only adjusted our expectations according to Elliot wave principles, especially when a low was taken out.........we already sold a portion of our holding in expectation of this to build liquidity and now we are still buying back. This is the power of technical analysis, its not the holy grail but it can certainly help....at the end cash is king...in the ref link, i pointed sunassur at 5, univinsure at 0.86 and sov at 2....haha. ive always opened up abput our oando position and may be wrong but dont think aradel is ready yet.....DYOR Ref: https://www.nairaland.com/1131485/nigerian-stock-exchange-market-pick/9695#137190045 ewnation/trial - join the 7 day trial for 1us, limited offer - never invest blindly ewnation.com/ngx |
