So many opportunities opened up in the market this week as a result of the sell off, if you have cash, this is the time, i do think that the insurance subsector will yield the most returns mid term simply because the sector was the most hit, think prestige , guineans etc...few assets have not completed their corrections having only completed (a) wave of an a-b-c correction, so it can get worse but only for a short while......DYOR ewnation/ngx |

@Agba, while you're waiting for bottoms, I've already made more than my full month salary in 2 weeks. That's despite the sell off And after I was marked down N120k for SEPLAT dividends 😁😁😁

awesomeJ:Good job my brother There is always money to be made whether in bull or in bear. Just that the probability of making a profit is much much higher in a bull. Again, we are still in the bull albeit volatility has increased. Increased volatility is a precursor for market downturn. A three year bull will not fall flat on its face in one month. It is gradual ![]() Your method is good for the level of risk and exposed capital. I am not chasing 20m profit |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by awesomeJ(m): 3:27pm On Nov 14, 2025 |
Agbalowomeri:Exactly. In a few more years, the strategy will have to get more conservative and less aggressive. But now that we're still young, let's exert the energy 😁 |

Agbalowomeri:What is it with people and posting their portfolios. You can state profits in percentages and not act so crass. Its almost like this "money" dey shack people |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by awesomeJ(m): 6:18pm On Nov 14, 2025 |
Lots of time I see a dumbness in some people's reasoning: You're 30, someone else is 50 and they show you their portfolio worth N2bn you feel intimated. That's dumb. Such comparison is apples to oranges. You compare your portfolio at 30 to their own portfolio when they were 30 or you compare their current portfolio to what yours will be at 50 (adjusting for inflation in either case) You've been in the market 5 years and you expect to match someone whose been there for 20 years. To what end?? Even if you're 50 and only have N10m, how about people who are 50 and can't even afford rent? How about your own good health. If you don't learn to appreciate your own good things but instead fixate on others' achievements, you'll just keep robbing yourself of real joy which you could have enjoyed life with. At the end of the day? Money is just some instance of an integer class in some database that allows addition and subtraction operators. Don't overrate it. It has its relevance, but also has its limits in significance. |

nosa2:1.5m is not money to brag with in a forum where the average portfolio is in hundreds of millions. Your context on the conversation is limited. If 1.5m is what intimates you, you're on your own. |

| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by awesomeJ(m): 7:40pm On Nov 14, 2025 |
nosa2:If there are 50 of us here who are very active. Even if 45 people have just N1m portfolios. The fact that you have 2-3 people with portfolios above N2bn already takes the average portfolio size to N100m. That's why some people prefer measures like median to averages, cos only 3 people can skew the data. |

Without question. The regulations will mandate broker reporting of client information, including valuation and capital gains. Happens everywhere capital gains are taxed. mikeapollo: |

HesInMe:All these na super story for naija No broker will want to do that unless something serious happens like court order In banks u see it placed on notice. That all transactions above so amount will be reported to regulatory body for money laundering. How many times have u see any bank do such thing Infact all looting and scamming pass through banks. How many have they reported freely. U think they want to lose the customer and future money. Leave na naija nothing dey happen. Do u know banks are reaching out to thr customer telling them they will help in thr accounting on how to beat the cooperate tax if they are interested. At the end thr account go dey be like that of kpakus. Na only loss go they happen yrly for firs |

The banks do oo. The problem is with the government agencies that sit on it and dont act, except when it is in favour of their pay masters. With the complexity if this CGT and the flip flop I see it going the way of the previous one which was not inplemented. Streetinvestor2: |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Streetinvestor2: 9:44pm On Nov 14, 2025 |
Stockhunter:Oga banks no dey even try that shit.Na only when such customer don already get problem outside before the matter reach bank. No bank will flag any account bro way never get wahala first.I be business man.Na bank go even show u ways the money go take hit the account if the money no genuine. I dey street. I get friends way no dey even go bank go withdraw such money. They just call branch manager and the money is brought home |
