Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by PuristForest:
Market still in a shock, even though most assets are in oversold conditions, significant economic and political uncertainty persists... ASI potentially trending lower, current momentum suggests a move towards 127 k which is 23.6% fib level of wave 3... affected assets unknow but thinking high ticket items mainly... A highly probable bullish stance will be test of 141k low (not lower than 138k) and next stop 190K - 200K...personally, i favor the bullish stance but trump 9ja saga, FX stability, policy shifts, and potential earnings surprises will ultimately play a crucial role in shaping market sentiment and direction.
DYOR joo!

Government policies remains very funny. One minute it is this another minute it is that. I hate it when a policy has no clear cut direction. Are we actually doing a trial by error ? People had lost money in NGX by some useless pronouncement and they blame it on Trump. Well, i will still watch how this latest information will be percieved in the market. Nobody knows anything anymore. If you follow this route, they follow you too. Na siddon look i dey now huh Policy summersalt.
They need to come by way of an amendment or a gazetted publication stating that capital market gains are exempted from tax. Anything short of that might not work. We know this government, they promise but don't keep the promises. Ask ASUU, NLC etc. from the days of Buhari, the tricks have been the same.

I don't think it has been removed.
The Punch reported a sentence as such. But reading further in context, I think he meant to younger people. Discouraging them from crypto and swaying them to NGX with the tax rated at PIT rate, most of them would even be taxed free. He was quoted as using the term "virtually" everyone is tax free
This aligns with his usual phrase of 97% or 98% are tax exempt, bla bla bla...

There are actually 2punch reports.

You believe this is the bottom....+ve
You have some cash.....+ve
You don't want to deploy it......-ve

So what are you still waiting for EXACTLY? Just curious

I am happy with some of the valuations and I am fully in the market. I still hold some cash but I don't think I will need to deploy it. Basically I think we are at the bottom

I have some cash, about 3% of my portfolio size. I don't plan to use it to invest but if the market chooses to get silly in terms of prices then I will gladly use it to buy lower. So if for some reason Zenith goes below N50 I will invest the money knowing that the panic is getting a bit wild. if it doesn't and it hovers around current levels then I will use my money and enjoy my life.

Hope that clarifies things

That reminds me of the guy you were arguing with the other time, the "armchair economist" aiming for 1–2% a month @ ₦1.5 million. The same one who announced he’s a landlord at the slightest provocation, lol.

His eyes will clear soon. He’s making noise because we’re in a bull period, where most stocks doubled just by holding them. Then he shows up thinking targeting 2% simply because he’s trading with ₦200 million makes sense. Brokers will be laughing, business has never been this good.

This is a market that can drop 20% on you before month-end. The guy is clearly a noob. His eyes will clear. There’s nothing you can tell him until he experiences the koko firsthand. grin grin cheesy

When every military operation ends in AMBUSH, how many scars will that military receive before it becomes wise ?

Before any military can defeat the external enemy, it must first defeat the ones within, called double agents in espionage, that tip-off the external enemy in advance of every patrol..

You know I don't really think it makes much sense to comment on something you're clueless about.

This is not a strategy that requires luck, or boring wait or monkey hunting to work.
If you're privileged to have this strategy mastered, all it requires is that the market opens. As long as the market opens, profits are guaranteed bull or bear, maybe one day, you may leearn enough to understand it, but for now, you should probably bask on in your fears and limited knowledge of successful trading strategies

Market is down over 7% MTD, making it one of the worst months of the year if not the worst, you're still waiting for a non existent failure.

It's a serious matter and we're all in it one way or another.
There isn't any lie in what you wrote.
There are leakages and backed-facts.
It means Terrorist_Informants WITHIN the Nigerian Military needs to be expunged FIRST.
Otherwise we will all be running in cycles in fighting EXTERNAL threats.

In response to your first paragraph, I have been wondering too how the military could be comfortable being wasted by some political mischief makers and yet remain ready not yet ready to get off the sacrificial table . It used to be the foot soldiers. Now that the rank and file is being wasted, let us hope their will be a re- awakening.
