awesomeJ:Suspected it may be retained even though inflation has eased for the seventh consecutive month. I actually expected slight cut to around 25-26.

| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by awesomeJ(m): 4:23pm On Nov 25, 2025 |
Agbalowomeri:Let them keep one stance na. If they moved up aggressively while inflation was uptrend. Why not maintain that same stance? At peak inflation MPR was 700bps below inflation rate, if they went with that, MPR should be at 9% today. But it's a good thing they adjusted the corridor effectively delivering a 200bps cut! SDF and SLF rates are the real rates and each went down by 200bps. I'll take that. Ultimate goal is for fixed income yields to drop back to single digits! |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by awesomeJ(m): 4:26pm On Nov 25, 2025 |
Odunharry:200bps cut on MPR while maintaining the previous corridor is actually the exact same thing with today's outcome. But cutting the MPR outright does better signalling which is why it would have been preferred. There are a few more NTB PMA to watch this year. If they take 364-day discounts below 14% that too would be impressive as we enter Q1. |

chimex38:If the bi-annual filing talk is true, it won't be unique to CGT, It would be PIT in general. So even people who don't play on the NGX would have to file as frequently. But what I heard is actually March 31st of the next year and it's only once a year filing. |

Streetinvestor2:My brother, please let us keep politics out of this group. If you feel the government is a failed one, please take it to the politics thread, there are many people that can engage you there. You are an elder. You know what happened to StockMarketNigeria.com. If people that feel otherwise engage with you, you know this thread will be derailed. |

I recently rewatched MNK/DM interview and i think that interview was what may have set him up , you cant be dividing a soverign nation and standing by it on a public forum like youtube and DM was very crafty in his questioning, getting him to be very specific in certain areas. His take on Jubril clone too was also very extreme, even though a british former parliamentarian initiated the death tweet, which is still unfounded, MNK did not mix words about it.......knowing the kind of person PMB was, he may have personally requested this end for him. ositadima1: |

The economy has taken its toll on VFD despite being a good company and stock price. UBA hasn't commented on theirs(if it's good news, it won't hide). But I believe they are filling left overs behind doors. TIP and PRESCO...we watch. If FCMB with all the Gbasgbos succeeded in being oversubscribed and even wanting to both increase and extend the offer value and time frame respectively. Hope dey handsomebolanle: |

Dum20:In as much as I respect ur opinion. It is not everything one says should be politics and be removed from here. Can we really seperate government or good governance from the economy. And is the stock market not a part of the macro economy of a country. A TA guy comes here to make his call based on things I don't even believe. I make my call based on what the street tells me .If I come here and say the government is doing well and the ngx will hit the roof. I guess nobody will complain. Is that not double standard. I will make my call based on the tools I use and let people deal with it.I did it with last president and it didn't bring war..So why can't I do it with this one based on recent development. Why was it ok when I was calling for bull earlier this month. Was this how we received attack during gej as president |

chimex38:Many of those PO and RI will fail unless the management have underwriters waiting within the top management like the case of uba or maybe presco. Then again they may not be happy buying at premium based on floor price .They will now look for ways to collect it back from shareholders using engineering accounting in thr future results |
