Nothing like fibre. I learnt the hard way with my is250. Theychanged the fibre.after that the gear started making loud bang in between witches.later found out they did not calibrate the wheels.its not like its something i could just take spanner and jack and gboom.problem solved.men just buy another gear. They might buy it as scrap for 50k.use the money to do something meaningful. Buy another gear or sell as is.i saw the same lexus es350.do overheating again today. Creditalerts: |

Good morning, everyone. I drive a 2008 RX350 that runs perfectly well — the engine is quiet and performs like a turbo. However, there’s one issue that’s been bothering me. The car starts instantly in the morning, but if I turn it off and try to start it again after about 30 minutes, it usually takes 2–3 attempts before it comes on. Interestingly, if I keep the key turned (cranking) during the first attempt (after it has been turned off for a while), it eventually starts. Does anyone know what could be causing this? |

Chidimercy:Hello and thank you for sharing your concern regarding your 2005 Lexus ES330. We’ve carefully reviewed the trouble codes you posted, as well as the symptom of the slight jerk you noticed. Here’s a structured analysis and professional guidance: ⸻ Technical Breakdown (Diagnostic Insight) 1️⃣ P0303 – Cylinder 3 Misfire Detected • Likely Causes: Faulty spark plug, ignition coil, or fuel injector specific to cylinder 3. Possible compression or internal engine issues if the components are healthy. • Symptoms: Engine jerk, rough idling, slight loss of power, uneven acceleration. • Professional Fix Steps: Inspect and, if required, replace spark plug and ignition coil for cylinder 3. Test the fuel injector for proper spray pattern and operation. Conduct a compression test if misfire persists. 2️⃣ P0420 & P0430 – Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Banks 1 & 2) • Likely Causes: Aging or partially clogged catalytic converters. Often secondary to persistent cylinder misfires causing unburnt fuel to enter the exhaust. • Symptoms: Check engine light, reduced fuel efficiency, possible unusual exhaust odor. • Professional Fix Steps: Inspect catalytic converters and test downstream O2 sensors. Replace converters only if efficiency is below threshold after upstream engine issues are resolved. 3️⃣ P2238 & P2241 – O2 Sensor Positive Current Control Circuit Low (Bank 1 & 2, Sensor 1) • Likely Causes: Faulty upstream O2 sensors, wiring harness damage, or ECM signal issues. • Symptoms: Poor fuel mixture, jerking, emission errors, reduced engine efficiency. • Professional Fix Steps: Test upstream O2 sensors’ voltage and current output. Inspect wiring for corrosion or damage. Replace faulty sensors as required. ⸻ ⚙️ Ryan Automotive Workshop Professional Take In our experience with ES330 models (2003–2006), a single cylinder misfire, such as the P0303 you are seeing, frequently triggers multiple O2 sensor and catalytic efficiency codes. Attempting catalytic converter replacement or O2 sensor repair before addressing the root misfire often leads to unnecessary costs. Our recommended approach: 1. Diagnose and resolve the cylinder 3 misfire first. 2. Retest O2 sensors and catalytic efficiency. 3. Proceed with component replacements only if diagnostics confirm failure. This sequential method ensures precision, reduces unnecessary expenses, and restores smooth engine performance. ⸻ Professional Recommendation To ensure your ES330 runs safely and efficiently, we strongly advise bringing your vehicle to Ryan Automotive Limited. Our technicians will provide: • Accurate diagnosis of the misfire and sensor issues • Proper testing and repair of O2 sensors and catalytic converters • Guaranteed performance restoration with genuine parts ⸻ Ryan Automotive Limited Precision. shrek4:Good evening and thank you for sharing your concern about your 2008 Lexus RX350. From your description, the vehicle starts well when cold but struggles to restart after a short period (30 minutes), requiring multiple attempts. Here’s a detailed analysis: ⸻ Technical Breakdown (Diagnostic Insight) 1️⃣ Potential Causes • Starter Heat Soak: After the engine is turned off, heat from the engine or exhaust can affect the starter motor or starter solenoid, causing delayed cranking. • Fuel Pressure Retention Issue: The fuel system may lose pressure when the engine is off, especially if the fuel pump check valve or fuel pressure regulator is weak. • Ignition Components: Worn ignition coils or spark plugs may perform adequately during cold starts but show delayed response when the engine is warm. • Battery or Connections: Loose battery terminals or weak connections can reduce voltage to the starter, particularly after the first start. 2️⃣ Symptoms Alignment • Difficulty starting after short off periods • Multiple cranking attempts required • Engine starts if cranking is maintained during the first attempt 3️⃣ Professional Fix Steps • Inspect starter motor and solenoid for heat-related issues. • Test fuel pressure retention after engine shutdown. • Check ignition coils, spark plugs, and wiring for consistency. • Inspect battery voltage and terminal connections; clean and tighten as needed. ⸻ ⚙️ Ryan Automotive Workshop Professional Take We’ve handled similar RX350 cases where delayed restarts were traced to heat-affected starter motors or weak fuel pressure retention. In most situations, once the underlying starter or fuel system issue is addressed, the multiple-crank problem resolves completely. Attempting random part replacements without proper diagnostics often leads to unnecessary costs. Our approach is always sequential: starter → fuel system → ignition → battery. ⸻ Professional Recommendation We recommend bringing your RX350 to Ryan Automotive Limited for a precise inspection. Our technicians will: 1. Test starter and solenoid performance under heat conditions. 2. Verify fuel pressure retention and regulator function. 3. Inspect ignition components and electrical connections. This ensures accurate diagnosis, safe operation, and avoids unnecessary replacement of parts. ⸻ Ryan Automotive Limited Precision. What's the best affordable oil I can use for my car, ES 300? Below is the last brand I used since April this year but couldn't find it in the market. I don't even know if the brand is good. Also, below is my current oil check. I don't drive much. Once or twice every week for short distances. Is the oil due for a change?

| Re: Club-Lexus by Louiscars: 1:00pm On Nov 15, 2025 |
Meklex:MICKING 5w30, 6L would work just fine. ( I want to believe you don’t have oil burn issues and you know the former oil weight that was used for the car ) |
| Re: Club-Lexus by Meklex(m): 1:02pm On Nov 15, 2025 |
Louiscars:No burn issues. 5w30 is the oil weight and quantity is 5L. I don't think I can find this oil brand here in Anambra, but I will check. Do you know how much it's currently sold. Are there other recommendations? |
| Re: Club-Lexus by Louiscars: 2:20pm On Nov 15, 2025 |
Meklex:Probably hardex apart from this two i really can’t give a cheaper brand ( 35k should get either of the two ) also I want to believe your car would actually take a little above 5 liter since it uses the 1mz |

| Re: Club-Lexus by Louiscars: 3:27am On Nov 18, 2025 |
Elui2:You have catalyst efficiency codes which could probably mean no catalyst - you also have a bunch of evap codes which would require at the very least a scan tool that can run the key off test( specifically for Toyota’s ) To see if probably the issue arises from the charcoal canister or purge flow ) or perhaps a smoke test would suffice, I can also see you have VSS code, is the speedometer working fine and does the car shifts well |

Hello friends, my rx400h tailgate is failing. If I tried to open from key or from the button inside the car but it will refuse to open until after I've run the car for like 10 minutes. Does it requires recalibrating after removing car battery because that's the only thing I did that could I suspect. Also, the gear handle is stiff when changing from park to reverse to neutral and to drive and back. Thanks. |
| Re: Club-Lexus by Louiscars: 10:17pm On Nov 22, 2025 |
AfDapone:Open your glove box and right beside it you should see a switch there with a trunk description turn it off for a minute and turn it back on then try the function again For the other fault that’ll have to do with the shift lock mechanism |
| Re: Club-Lexus by kingreign(m): 10:34pm On Nov 22, 2025 |
AfDapone:For thr tailgate, check the tailgate struts, they may be weak or worn out, also, check the auto tail gate opening and closing mechanism, it may be worn out. For the gear shifter, you should check the shift cable that runs from the shifter stick to the transmission. |

Hello house, Please I need help. My RX350 horn stopped working unless the sterling is turned. So I contacted my electrician, he said is the horn turn, so when I Voight a new horn turn and it was changed, the "AFS off" light ostarts showing on my dashboard and the automatic head light icon blibking too. It was not there before. He said we have to change the angle sensor. But I don't believe him, since he moved the car without the sensor wen I went to buy the horn turn. Now everything is working perfectly please how do I make this "AFS off" light go off without buying a new angle sensor . |

Felakezman:Have this been resolved? I had this issue in my RX350 2010 earlier this year. I did a lot of try and error. Which even made me spent a lot of money and damage some things in my car. But the actual thing that resolved it is was changed the TCM. |
