Smart investors make money in bad or good government, devaluation or no devaluation.

It seems you do not care anymore if this thread is destroyed, maybe because you are not meeting your investment target.

That goes to show you are not much different from the people you critise.

So because things are not going your way, you want to bring the thread down.

There is a politics section where you can vent.

You are an elder, show maturity.
This is me being nice the last time.i know I have blocked this moniker in the past so that option is still available to u
I guess u want me to be posting how the bull is coming or what you can buy and hammer. Do I look like your financial adviser. That u make or lose money on ngx is never my business.
What I post has ngx concerns on it and must not be positive in nature. You don't have any right to tell me the kind thing I post about the market. We are not kindred meeting so leave the elder rubbish aside. Last time I will come out nice if u quote me again on what I should post here

I guess he has already exited his position in the market.
That was the exact thing he did after he sold his oando.
The good thing is, market doesn't respond to personal rant, market will do whatever it wants.
Bull or bear, everyone should be prepared.
What do you expect from someone that sold his Oando at #20 his next slogan is "OANDO don cast"

Afterwards Oando rise to #98.
he later repurchase OANDO at #60 with hope it's heading to 1000 now Oando is at sub #40..

His next slogan now is "a disgraced NGX" instead of saying "Mr Market disgraced him" grin grin grin grin grin

Quit this nonsense. I don't own a single Presco stock (though I wish I did). But we all have a stake in Nigeria's attractiveness as a destination for private investment. These sorts of actions, which I'm glad to see the Edo government distancing itself from, hurt investor confidence and affect all of us -- shareholders or not. A rising tide lifts all boats.

SonofElElyonRet:
1. don't speak out of bias dude! Cos you own Presco shareshuh.. go check the laws. Anyway, seems the governor didn't revoke the land but he has powers to do so. you saying oil wells are not more profitable than palm oil seems preposterous and even if I assume so for the purpose of argument (assuming but not conceding), oil wells will serve the public interest at the end of the day hence "overriding public interest" justification as provided by the law..

If you remove Presco and Okomu from Edo state, the remaining entity will be a shadow in terms of the economic value those two companies bring to the table. Revoking C of O of Presco should only happen in a dream, otherwise ...
Many communities in Delta State especially those in the boundary benefit by the work they do in the plantations of PRESCO.

The temptation is great though. You only get one chance to acquire these refineries at give away prices.

mikeapollo:
The biggest mistake Oando would ever make is to get involved in any NNPC refinery matter!
They should stay clear and avoid the controversies, conspiracy theories, misinformation, politicking, etc that such move would bring.

Not surprised.

Access Bank new acquisition in Kenya need to raise capital as mandated by Kenyan central Bank(KCB) by as much as over 2Ksh(kenyan shillings).
Which is approximately 21-23bn Naira. The deadline is December 2025.

The last conditional statement on that paragraph 2 gives a bit of credence to this.

The top banks in that country have mostly met their capitalization.

My guess is AcessHoldings will fulfill that capitalization from its purse similar to what StanbicHoldco did to meet it's capitalization.
But they will need a replacement to their equity, hence the PP.

The remaining capital raise of about 20bn might be opportunity to raise funds for other acquisitions.
