Big surprise. Despite ending Trading at N5.45,

Greif Vanleer is set to pay all their shareholders N9.00 per share as their final Delisting package. So much enjoyment ooo.

*Greif Nigeria Plc – Final Liquidation Report (Summary)*

- *Liquidator:* Inam Wilson (appointed by the court)
- *Date of Final Report:* October 2025 (document ref FINAL_REPORT_OF_LIQUIDATION_PROCESS_OF_GREIF_NIGERIA_PLC_.pdf)

*Key Outcomes:*
1. *Asset Realisation:* Total proceeds from asset sales (mainly land, buildings, plant & machinery) amounted to *₦2.3 billion*.
2. *Liabilities Settled:*
- *Tax obligations:* Fully paid (per earlier announcements).
- *Other debts & operational claims:* Settled in full, leaving a *surplus* after all creditors were paid.
3. *Shareholder Distribution:*
- After covering liquidation costs, the *final distribution* to shareholders is *₦9.00 per share*.
- This payout reflects the residual assets after all liabilities are cleared, not a market‑price adjustment.
4. *Final General Meeting:* Held on 10 November 2025, where the liquidation account was presented and approved by shareholders.
5. *Dissolution:* Upon approval, the company’s registration will be struck off the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) records, completing the delisting from the NGX.

*Context:*
- Greif Nigeria (formerly Van Leer Containers Nigeria Plc) was placed under members’ voluntary winding‑up after prolonged financial struggles (share price collapsed from ~₦13 at listing to ₦5.45 at suspension).
- Trading was suspended in 2022 to facilitate an orderly liquidation; the final payout of ₦9.00 per share is higher than the last traded price, representing a positive return to investors.

_Note:_ The detailed report (available on the NGX document library) includes the liquidator’s statement of account, asset‑sale particulars, and the approved minutes of the final general meeting.

Dear Oga Street sir, there's nothing absolutely wrong in seeing bears while others are seeing bull but this your constantly screaming of 'disgraced ngx" is annoying and has this negativity(sir I don't mean to disrespect you in anyway but if it comes off that way I'll sorry).

Oga Agba was seeing bears(seems he was right afterall) while others were seeing bull, it didn't come off as if ngx was collapsing.

If you no longer have faith in ngx, its ok. Allow those who believe and have faith to thrive.

Na dis same market way red like tomato Jos some people still dey trade they make gain. @Oga Awesome sir, abeg make you dey drop summary of how you dey take run na m.

Fund Raising Season...
With the Capital Raising exercise coming and still coming up from different angles/listed companies.......from banks to Insurance to Agric and to other sectors of the economy.....

The best bet for the Govt/ JTB (Joint Tax Board) is to suspend any acts that may jeopardize this for the companies if they really meant well for the companies/Nigeria.

** However, this thread has digressed from its initial purpose........Stock Picks Alert to Politics, why na? huh
We hardly read more of stocks again.....
Sometimes I'll login and just log out back....

** Please, all concerned Politicians and politics discussions should be directed to the appropriate section. Na beg we beg una o. 🙏

Yesterday's White House Shooting Shows That America Needs Peace Just As Much as Nigeria...Or Maybe Even More!

Yesterday, there was a serious shooting incident near the White House, and the American seat of government had to be placed on lockdown to protect President Trump and his key officials after two National Guard soldiers were shot and critically wounded.

I am grateful that President Trump is safe, as this is obviously a man ordained by God who has already done much good and is destined for even greater things on Earth.

Yesterday's event is a reminder of how God saved President Trump from a domestic terrorist, Thomas Crooks (what a befitting name!), who attempted to take out the then former President on Saturday, July 13, 2024.

This is part of the growing gun crime crisis in the United States. Each year in the US, over 40,000 people die from gun-related incidents. That is more than ten times the number of Nigerians who die from terror-related incidents, according to the Global Terror Index, which put terror-related deaths at 565 in their latest GTI (please see https://www.economicsandpeace.org/report/global-terrorism-index-2025/).

America is the world's greatest country; nevertheless, it has its own issues. Its society is not perfect. And if those Nigerians now calling for President Trump to invade Nigeria relocate to the United States, being Black, they will stand a higher chance of being victims of gun violence than those in Nigeria.

Yes, Nigeria has security challenges, but when was the last time you heard of a shooting close to the Aso Rock Presidential Villa?

Do not be fooled. The rich also cry, and all that glitters is not gold.

No matter how bad things get in Nigeria, we have never had a year in which over 40,000 people were either killed or severely injured in gun crimes, as happens in the United States.

Therefore, stand with Nigeria and President Tinubu as the government and our gallant armed forces work to make Nigeria a secure place for all Nigerians, irrespective of their religion, region, or political affiliation.

Reno Omokri
All because it doesn't yet affect y'all.. the military is compromised and if you pretend not to know this, it's quite unfortunate. Trump isn't coming to wage war against Nigeria but to carry out technology aided precision strikes against terrorists.. government should cooperate with Trump in order for the operation to be seamless and not heed the advice of terrorists godfather Gumi

You're right.

Sometimes I wonder sef, when the govt is unable to provide sufficient healthcare, they are happy to accept interventions from DFID, and USAID of blessed memory, they don't brag about their sovereignty then.

Why not also calm down and accept help in this very critical area they're failing at. Is there anything in Trump's statement that suggests Nigeria will get anything other than gains from such military operations? Why is the bragging about yeye sovereignty so important?

True it's good if they operate in alliance with the local forces, but even if they don't,(especially since there could be potential sabotage) as long as the terrorists are wiped out, why should we really care.

Abi o.. looks like they now target pregnant women for kidnapping. One was kidnapped in Edo while another has just been kidnapped in Niger state.. O-Mockery is a non-n-t-t

Exactly seven days after over 300 students were abducted from St. Mary’s Catholic School in Papiri in Agwara Local Government Area of Niger State, bandits have launched another deadly attack in Palaita community, Erena Ward, Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State.

They abducted 24 people, including a pregnant woman, from a rice farm and chopped off the hand of a blind man.

The bandits also attacked a community in Abuja, and kidnapped six girls and a boy.

How bandits kidnapped 24 in Niger

A source in the community said the attackers struck at about 2:00pm on Wednesday while residents were harvesting their crops.

Despite Palaita being only five kilometres from a military base in Erena, the bandits reportedly escaped with the victims before security personnel could respond.

My sister, you're probably better off waiting o.
If you follow some people's calls here and patiently waiting to make your 200-1000% in 2-3 years, we'll probably end up with the same growth rate in that period.

If the market was in a bull where guys were making 100% in a month, my 10% wouldn't count for much 😁😁😁

In such seasons I never make up to 50% on any stock. Yet some people make 1000%. I used to be pained reading about such huge returns, now I understand that life na turn by turn and I'm contented with my small but consistent returns.
