Hello house, Please I need help.

My RX350 horn stopped working unless the sterling is turned. So I contacted my electrician, he said is the horn turn, so when I Voight a new horn turn and it was changed, the "AFS off" light ostarts showing on my dashboard and the automatic head light icon blibking too. It was not there before. He said we have to change the angle sensor. But I don't believe him, since he moved the car without the sensor wen I went to buy the horn turn. Now everything is working perfectly please how do I make this "AFS off" light go off without buying a new angle sensor .
Scan and post codes here, we will tell you if you need any new part

You can contact me at 0802 899 2075. I’ll just advise to be careful though at that Berger underbridge, while there are good cars there it’s also plagued with some cars that might be a lemon, my service would also include a carfax report to confirm the vehicle hasn’t been in any crash, flooded or stolen

Good day o, make una come help me o. My 07 es 350 Lexus I have been driving since 2020.

So the issue started last month when I was coming back and I noticed a sound coming from underneath the steering and I packed called in mech only to discover radiator water is gone and no water at all in the engine. He topped water and I took it home and the following morning I discovered radiator have leakages in the core like 3 places got a new radiator and put in everything got back to normal.

So after like 3 weeks I noticed new radiator cores started leaking again like something punctured it. So yesterday I went to Ladipo and got a Tok radiator double cell like what I had before, after installing it today, poured coolant HOltz, bled it only to discover the reservoir tank is kind bubbling because air is been returned inside there.

NOTE: this happened after the car was on for 10 mins or so with the AC on, I just had to shut the Werey down. Mech said it is the thermostat, he wants to loosen it I refused o. I said it might be the rad cap or the radiator and also my car is sluggish now .

E be like my gasket don travel ni. Guys help out

Hi everyone, good day.

My Es350 2011 is showing these error codes, P0302, P0305, P0335, and P0607.
But we didn't get here overnight, let me explain.

June 12, I was returning from Berger and as I turned towards Oshodi-Apapa Expressway, I noticed the car wasn't accelerating as it should, the difference wasn't much, it was still running, just something subtle that can only be noticed by me the driver.

I thought it was all in my head, so I continued until I got home, that's when I noticed that the car was misfiring slightly. Again, you won't notice, unless I point it out to you.

I scanned the car and got P0302, misfire in cylinder 2.

Turned off the car, turned it back on the next day and the misfire was gone, so I cleared the code.

Took the car out again and after hard acceleration, same thing happened.
This time I parked to the side of the road and yes, the subtle misfiring was back.
Restarted the car, misfire disappeared.

Called my mechanic the next day and we changed both spark plug and ignition coil for that cylinder 2, cos I thought something is probably about to fail there, so the car is giving me signs ahead.

A week later, misfire was back, but now error codes were jumping from cylinder to cylinder, and at a point, it said random misfires.

I managed the car for a while, using it for only short errands until I got some time.
I changed spark plugs, serviced injector nozzles and even changed fuel pump assembly.

I was fine for a week again, then the misfire returned.

Two weeks ago, I serviced the car cos it was due, scanned the car again and saw that a P0335 had joined the party, for the crankshaft sensor.

I promised myself I wasn't going to throw in parts again until I was sure what the exact issue was.
Mechanic and electrician checked, everything looks good, wiring harness too is fine.

Scanned this evening and saw the P0607 code has logged in, life of the party.

I think that the ECU isn't the issue, probably the underlying issue is what is triggering the P0607, but it's that underlying issue I'm yet to figure out.
Again, I'm not sure, so no conclusions yet on my part.

Please who can help? Who has experienced this before? I need advice, cos I'm exhausted.

The car is very drivable, accelerates as expected, does 120km/h easily, just that once in a while, when you don't expect, it starts misfiring in a subtle manner.
But once you restart, the car is back to normal and firing as it should.

Help my life.

Thank you.

Good evening all, please I'd really appreciate it if a knowledgeable automechanic for Lexus GS350 is referred to look into an issue for me.

My car vibrates between 20 - 40km/h when accelerating or decelerating.

I changed the propeller shaft as earlier advised but the issue is still persistent.

My axis is Ikeja - Ojota - Ogudu in Lagos. Thank you

It possible the head gasket has worn out, but first need a technician to help you check be4 concluding.
Try scan it if any code will pop up.

A freeze frame would be needed to see what values the Ecu reads before setting up the CEL.
I personally suspect grounding issues that and as such a physical inspection would only help point in the right direction.
I’ll advise check all grounds, specifically in the engine bay
Secondly, freeze frame data should be checked for any out of spec values that might trigger it also
Last resort would be the ECU

Good day all.
I am in the market for ES 350 2008-2010 Nigerian used.

The units I have seen all have their check engine lights on, ABS light on, traction off and others. Then there is this particular noise I do hear when I fully turn the steering while making a U-Turn.

Is it advisable to go ahead and get one with these lights because their drive is smooth with the aim of resolving all the lights on the dashboard?

Some fault might be cheaper to fix while some others can run into higher bills, from your description it’s seems the CV axle/ shaft might need changing. Why not get someone to at least get you a better used unit without all of this light or at least one which fixing won’t cost that much or affect Powertrain functionality. If you’re in Lagos I can be of service

Though someone was of the opinion that I get it from Lagos but I do not see the need for such since it is Nigerian used I intend to get.

Hi, guys, while traveling home for Christmas 3 days ago, I noticed that my temperature gauge was high, and water spilled from the reservoir onto my side mirror. I parked and opened the bonnet, and the reservoir was vibrating excessively. No spills from the radiator. I left it to cool down for 30 minutes and started it again, and the temp gauge went back to the middle. I drove it for 5 minutes, and it went back up. I found an auto electrician, and he said the fan has low pressure and suggested that I connect it directly, which he did. I was able to continue my journey without any overheating issues.

Now, my question is, should I continue using the car like that? What should I do differently? I bought the car 3 years ago, foreign used, and everything is still intact.

The car model is ES 300, 2003.

Wht causes over heating.
Coroded ect
Ac fan stops working
Fuse burnt
Old coolant

Yeterday i turbo all thru. My fuse got burnt.
I noticed the temp eas rising every 10mins and my house is like 1 hr drive. No how.e go overheat.
I parked by roadside
Let engine cool down for like 1 hr.
Had to locate a bar to buy goldberg to kill time

After 2hrs ,this was by 8.30pm
I had hard starting for luke 6 tries
By the 7th try engine started,
After 20mins with ac on. The werey started its sahi t again, i quickly parked, put gear in neutral, open boney. Found the culprit. Ac fan wasnt spinning, had to hit the motor and it started tho it speed wasnt finger cutting. I drove him with full speed at 90kph..got home in 40mins. No much traffic.

This morning I called my rewire. He took out the radiator. It was filled of leaves, dirt dust,sand...it was washed with pressure washer.

Coolant temperature sensor disambled
It was corroded with black dirt like carbon.
Sand papered nd reinstalled
Fuses checked and replaced.

Started car. It responded once
No hard starting.
Ac turned on for 30mins.
Fans picked at 40mins.withrazor cutting speed
Drove for 1hr. Temp guage got to middle by the 48th minute.
Fuel normal

Coolant smelling fresh

Check your fuses,
If the coolant is mote than 6months. Flush every out
If fan motor is weak. Check fuse and relay
Swap them
