Mankind2024:Lol.. "Ministry" was taken out of context. Maybe I should have explained. By "Ministry" I meant he was supporting your investment strategic as a testament to your gains on NCR as against those who said it's more of luck. Yet, you seem to rope him in as among those you claim was pained. That was my point. |

Locotrader:This is one benefit of the Nigerian stock market. A good stock at a cheap valuation will usually not dip for long. It will recover (even if its partial recovery). Cheers! Iskalamong . . |

mikeapollo:Analysts give reasons for everything. If the market rallies, People/investors want to know why. Thus, analysts provide them with why and vice versa when bearish. The market is actually overextended as it has rallied for long. It is normal for the market to experience a pullback. When this happens, people ask why, and whatever is trending at the moment is provided as the reason. A technical analyst wont even be bothered with what is happening now. Markets simply rise and fall (Whether bear or bull). In a bull market, you see higher highs while the reverse is the case in a bear market. For me, this correction should have happened a few months before. That way, we would have been seeing recovery now which would/should metamorphose into a full santa claus rally towards the end of the year. Back to the matter, the CGT is really an issue. However, it is not the main reason for the markets present lacklustre performance. Cheers Islalamong! . . |

Locotrader:I like your confidence. But for the sake of the general public. It would be nice if you tone down the confidence a little. Instead of will, you can use will likely. This is to show that it is probable and not certain. There are people that make investment decisions from blog posts. While that is not ideal, it is good to have them in mind when posting. One love sir! Cheers! Iskalamong! . . |

crownprince2017:I closed most of my positions as I expected a correction. However, I did not expect Oando to decline when the correction happens. For this reason, Oando is the only stock I am holding with my full chest. Its performance has been a shocker to me (and my portfolio). The reasons I bought it when I was closing other positions are as follows: 1. Strong growth potential (driven by acquisitions and political moats) 2. Very cheap valuation. This combined with no 1 above is a recipe for multibagger performance. 3. Proposed equity capital raise at N50. Using banks as precedents, a rally may occur (e.g fidelity, GTCO, e.t.c. with price appreciation of more than 100% post capital raise. 4. Conversion of debt to equity plus capital raise to boost the company's balance sheet and make its book value positive. Last last, the stock's performance rubbished my analysis ![]() For newbies, this does not mean that analyses do not work. Instead, it shows that analysis gives you about 70% probability to be right (not an assurance) Cheers guys Iskalamong! . . |

Locotrader:In my opinion, the ASI is reflective of what the largest companies do. For instance, Airtelafri remains very cheap compared to its LSE counterpart (AAF LN). In the event of a serious bear in low cap and mid caps (and stability in high caps). In Nigeria, many high caps can be fully offered without a price change. In a bearish day, if Airtel (and one or two more large cap) rises significantly, the ASI would behave as though the market is slightly bullish. In a nutshell, my point is that the ASI may not be reflective of the broad market performace and should not be use for broad market analysis. One love sir Cheers! Iskalamong! . . |
