You suppose open index fund. 25 stocks is very inefficient in my opinion
So what do you say to 40 stocks in my portfolio ? Jack of all trade, master of none grin grin grin
Well, i am only trying to be everywhere. I am kind of difersifying. But, in the long run will trim it down to 20. Picking the best in every sector angry grin

Here I was thinking you understood the policy.
What policy are u talking about besides the one from government on that sector..lol
If is about government policy on that sector. It is all centered on growth and development of the sector for local sufficiency. I was only interested in the protection part of the policy on local players. That said the need for that products is not going down soon like the crude oil segment of the economy.

Lol. ChatGPT will be the end of humanity.

Take some time to learn about the business. There's a YT video online where Presco's CFO discusses the economics of oil palm plantations. The differences in yield based on plantation age, and in margin based on revenue mix, are not qualitative. They're real money, and massive numbers at that.

Sold NGX to buy Zenith

Sold NASCON to buy Nahco

Sold Seplat to buy Aradel.

Bought NASCON at a single digit price.

Bought Seplat at less than N600.

You may be on the right track after all because the full idiom is: "A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one" wink

A civil servant pays $5m for secondary school education of his kids. And you expect me to pay tax so Farouk can steal it to send his children to Switzerland or one governor sending people to hajj, while the road to my house is bad and the hospital in my area is not functioning. Na God go take tinubu and his croonies
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by HesInMe:
Of course. See below. It's been a minute, so unfortunately I can't pinpoint the specific timestamps. Ellah also has an extensive video (I think it was on Spaces) where they also discuss some yield and pricing metrics, but I don't have it now.

https://www.youtube.com/live/QkhkypbU3Qg?si=dMbhCNTgv5hQhGDP

Here are some of my notes on oil palm economics from the events:

Cultivation
Harvested year round: Highest yielding oil, 5-10x more than rapeseed, sunflower, soy
- 4-5 years to cash flow
- 9 years to peak production
- 25 years to maturity
- Replant at year 30
- Spacing 9m on center

Yield
• Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB): 20-25 tons per ha
(Presco currently at 12.8 tons, going to 14 tons)
• Crude Palm Oil (CPO): 3.74 metric tons per ha

Price
• FFB: ~N200k per ton
• CPO: ~$900 per metric ton

Far above the index. Doubt if the total dividends paid by all the stocks in NGX increased by 1400% between 2020 and 2025

I love the sound of dividend alerts from January to December. In fact my portfolio income is now 15 times of what I got in 2020. That is the only efficiency that is important to me

Used to have about 60 stocks in my portfolio and then used to receive over 100 dividend alerts. Although I have received 57 credit from alerts from my portfolio this year, with an outstanding one towards the end of the year.

Although I started reducing the stocks in the portfolio around late 2024.

12. Zenith Bank
13. Stanbic IBTC Bank
14. Okomu Oil

5. 13% FGN December 2031
6. 19% FGN February 2034

BREAKING: Nigeria's inflation rate drops for 8th consecutive month, now 14%

The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) says Nigeria’s headline inflation rate decreased to 14.45 percent in November 2025.

The NBS announced the decrease in its consumer price index (CPI) report on Monday, marking the eighth consecutive drop in 2025 — surpassing President Bola Tinubu’s 15 percent target.

According to the Bureau, the November headline inflation rate is lower relative to the 16.05 percent recorded in October 2025.

It depends on his capital base, if he is investing with 1billion, it's not too diversified.

When you are a HNI you can afford to make less money but you can't afford to lose alot of money by concentrating.

Concentration should be for people trying to get rich (hit networth of ₦100m)

Are you not happy that you still have the opportunity to accumulate and stockpile it at the current price.

It should remain at the current price till the end of first quarter of 2026.

It is actually a N100 stock
