nosa2:Every security in our portfolio is a servant to be sent on errands. After having emergency reserve in a Money Market Fund or Eurobond that will handle emergencies. There are different securities for school fees, house rent, flenjour, extra curricula activities, Detty December etc I have bonds that pay coupons in February and August, March and September, May and November, June and December. The first dividend for the year comes in around March. Someone sold his UBA shares few years ago because the company cut dividends and that affected his financial plan for the year. UBA dividend was meant to pay his house rent |

emmanuelewumi:I'm struggling to understand the growth Trajectory for NAHCO. Their main cash cow (International Airlines) has been struggling with low passenger traffic since 2021 or so. There hasn't been an improvement this year; to call it a compounder with no visible growth path is hard for me. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by emmanuelewumi(m): 10:23am On Dec 16, 2025 |
NettyNelly:Check the profit margin growth from 2020 to date. Revenue growth Return on Equity growth from 18% in 2020 to over 70% in 2024. Return on Invested Capital growth. Earning growth from 20k in 2020 to N6.60k in 2024, with a high probability of at least EPS of N10.00 in 2025 Nahco is one of the stocks that will give me an 8 digit dividend in the next 5 to 6 months |

Invest and research like a farmer—patiently planting seeds for long-term harvest—rather than chasing the quick thrill of a hunter's immediate gratification. A key factor to consider is NAHCO's ongoing diversification strategy, which strengthens its economic moat through expansion into high-growth areas: agricultural commodities export (via specialized cargo facilities and export processing centers that facilitate non-oil exports like perishables and bulk agro-products) and hospitality (including plans for hotel development and travel-related services). This multi-stream approach reduces reliance on core ground handling while tapping into Nigeria's economic diversification priorities, positioning NAHCO for sustained growth and resilient returns. Mankind2024:Your head dey there @ " invest like a farmer". If management can achieve their revenue target of N300 billion for 2029 @ a profit margin of 25% which is lower than their net margin in the 2024. That will give them a profit after tax of N75 billion or Earning Per Share of N38.50k. They have a dividend payout ratio of 90% which will give a dividend per share of N34.60k |
