Personally I do not rush into new listings. I wait for the initial euphoria to settle before trying. It saved me from buying Aradel at N800. |

Mankind2024:In most cases, investors have the crystal ball in the form of historical earnings and dividends. In this very scenerio of Aso Savings;the company has poor earning and dividend history. The poor earnings and dividends is the crystal ball or mirror! ![]() |

Is there a reliable site to search for unclaimed dividend now that SEC took down http://sec.gov.ng/non-mandated/ ? I find the search on the new site does not look reliable. |

Geo-Fluids I received a notice of General Meeting of Geo-Fluids plc from PAC Registrars. Out of curiosity, I clicked an accompanying link, and that took me to the detailed notice of the GM for the presentation and approval of their audited financials, I think from 2012 or so, to 2024. The notice also is full of forward-looking statements, including movement from nasd to ngx, recap etc. I hope village winch are not at work again. Not investment call (NIC). |

Following the breaking news about Aso Savings and Loans, and Union Homes Savings and Loans Plc, the first question I asked myself was: what is the relationship between Union Homes Savings and Loans and Union Homes REIT? Na so I begin to dey do research. Anyway, it appears the holders of UHOMREIT are safe for now. |

The momentum that greeted the suspension lift by the NGX was what drove investors to board the Aso Savings train, and no one saw the breaking news coming. The odds of double-digit profit were in their favour. I'm sure you would have mentioned it here if your crystal ball or instrument was 50% predictive of the delisting and liquidation. NB: I never had a zero unit of Aso Savings. EDUECO: |

Divineability:Pele. You are learning the ropes. From now on define your goals. Higher the risk the less you should stake.. aso was junk with no real fundamentals so I guess people wanted to jijo. If to say I get cash then maybe me too for hook .. I still feel some people at NSE should be sanctioned for this |

I had 100k units which I bought at N4 per share, God knows how long ago. I was waiting and hoping to recover as much of my loss as possible when it was suspended again. Now I have lost everything. 😭 yMcy56: |

As I still dey fear to enter ABC to village, I say make I branch here..... There's something every investor is still not looking at (aside "I told you so" ) NGX has a case to answer here ..... ** Why did they lift the suspension on Aso Savings in the first place? ** Why lift the suspension and place it again if they're not a party to robbing investors off? ** They seems to masterminded this luring people in ** Why did CBN not revoke this licence long ago? Or do they want to tell us it's oversight? ** Whose interest is CBN actually protecting? ** Whose interest is NGX/SEC actually protecting? ** Why can't CBN provide soft landing for investors by trying to see who can either merge or buy over the mortgage homes....just like the case of Unity Bank (like someone said) ? * I'm almost agreeing with Streetinvestor2 here that this is becoming a disgraced nation...... ** For the kind hearted ones that sympathize with us, may God bless you all. ** By God's grace, we will definitely weather the storm and come out stronger IJN. 🙏 |

Raider76:It's well. It's all part of investing. Many dead ones came up and people recouped their funds. This one may have political undertone. ** As for NDIC, they planned repaying depositors up to N2M... ** For investors, what's their fate? Maybe NGX can come up and clear air on this. |

"Dangote’s public spat with NMDPRA is not new. But this time, the industrialist has stepped a notch higher, accusing its chief executive of monumental corruption. He is not only fighting the oil mafia, but he’s up against the President’s family. Wale Tinubu, President Tinubu’s cousin, is one of Nigeria’s major fuel importers. His company, Oando Plc, posted a 44% increase in revenue to N4.1 trillion and N220 billion profit after tax in 2024. Although Oando reported that its refined product volumes had declined by 64% to 599 KMT due to ‘’shifts in Nigeria’s domestic supply framework’’, the company would not abandon that line of business just yet. Oando is not the only fuel importer. Others are NIPCO, Bovas Oil; Eternal Oil; A A Rano; NNPC and a host of others. So the Engr Faruk is not the only one holding the line in the battle with Dangote. Hes the support of the president family. I really wonder how he is able to wield such influence. |
