Igbo gadi: Is good to hear that peter Obi tarred the major roads in Anambra, but isn’t what he was elected to do at the first place? One of the most important question to ask him is how many job has his administration has created? In general this how we should rate our governors, Roads, water and electricity are the basic things government should provide to is citizen.
Please don’t get me wrong fixing the roads is good but people also need a job to survive, if there is a job there will be a less crime on the street.

How about the school reform that has brought order and sanity into our school system ? How about the thousands of water schemes he performed that brought running water into ppl homes...How about the inspirational motivation he brought to Anambra farmers; He tarred all the roads that leads to all the farming communities in Anambra,gave farmer loans,farms implants to expand production. All the difficult terrain in some Anambra communities which were avoided was tarred by Obi. Funny thing is that no stake holder in Anambra is criticizing him,except thieves who hasn't found a room to keep stealing. Anambra never borrowed a kobo from anybody and her reserve can feed her citizens for decades,unlike Enugu who is in a hole..Peter Obi is dealing with the most basic needs of the people and not some white elephant dreamtrain that contributes little or nothing to the eating table of our ordinary citizen...need I say more when it comes to industrialization drive of Obi's goverment; the riverport,the refinery,the sabmiller,the innoson motors among other multibillion naira companies he has attracted to Anambra and thereby creating thousands of jobs both blue and white collar.....Obi's enemies must be brought to shame!

let me correct u, upper-iweka and bridge head is a federal road, its proper name is enugu-onitsha expressway. so u are nw blaming obi for the state of federal roads in onitsha?

besides the bridge head that i passed yestersay was being upgraded into 6 lanes.

Slizbeat: As a true and illustrous son of Anambra, lemme be quick to state this. Anambra has really changed. I lived at kano before i moved to lagos. As at 2012 when i went down east, the only bad road i met was onitsha-enugu road which is a federal road. All other roads i plied, from ifite-awka where i stayed, down to nnewi, awka etiti, Okija, ihiala, till i got to my maternal home at Oguta, Imo state, i didnt encounter any bad roads. My village itself has a tarred road, even to the gate of my house. Industrial wise, anambra hasnt being bad either. Employment wise and educational wise also. Anambra still has a very low level of un-employment which i know in the next 5years, it would be less than 1%.
When someone does something no one did, give kudos to him especially when he began from the very scratch. Anambra is flooded with 3-4-5-storey buildings which is also good for the skyliners. The only thing i feel Anambra lacks now is More Groundbreaking world class infrastructure, an inland port and an airport.

There's no pictures to show jare. If you go near unizik junction or govt house the only thing you'll see is huge billboards of Peter Obi advertising how he distributed 10 laptops to schools or built a library(with no books) or constructed drainage(like that's not his job). It's crazy men, i've not seen anything he's doing except sounding like woman. If you enter Awka ehn. Smh

afam4eva: You can't say a governor is working after alluding that it's mainly roads that he has built and those roads are roads connecting the country side.

I also want to believe that Peter Obi has done well in building rural roads even though these roads are camera shy. But that's not a reason whyy we should give him a pass mark. He's left other things unattended to. If Peter Obi was ruling an Ebonyi, i would have given him a pass mark but this is Anambra we're talking about and Anambra is not a state where you build roads and we'll see he has performed.

Really, i can't wait for Obi's tenure to be over so that a more ambitious governor will take over.

Onlytruth: It is good that when our leaders are working, we should say so and encourage them. I saw first hand that Anambra state roads are now mostly tarred. It was not like that in the last few years.
Admitted they are not marked, but they are tarred. Speaking of marking, I wonder how expensive it is to mark roads!!
Nevertheless, I saw smooth roads running round remote parts of Anambra state. I can boldly state that by the time he leaves office next year, he will be leaving behind a state with high accessibility. I can now drive round Anambra state without worrying much about bad roads. The most notable bad roads in Anambra now are the federal roads -Onitsha/Enugu, and Oba/Okigwe.

Maybe our next governor will only be marking roads! lol
