According to a Nigerian lawyer, Emmanuella Ojialor, she stated that you can sue and claim damages.

I have seen some cases where people took law into their hands because someone promised to marry them but failed or married someone else.
Let me explain something to you.
The law recognises a breãch of promise to marry and it is a legal claim which is enforceable.

Picture this.
