I have used them before, and I wasn't scammed; they are legitimate, I can attest to that. Perhaps there was a mix-up somewhere.

Most of my motivations come from your posts, maybe that explains why most of my names are kinda similar to yours. Started Domaining in 2016 but I wasn't patient/loaded enough back then, my first sale came after I had dropped all my names a year later, the sale was an unexpected .ng so the transaction didn't complete. After years of doing other businesses and gaining lots of experiences (Networking, CS, WebDev and Tech as whole). I casually strolled back into domaining this year (2nd quarter) and I went hard this time, I hit 200 .coms (90% drop reg, 5% closeout, 4% auctions, 1% hand reg) over the weekend (about 240 all tlds) and I told myself I'm done for the year but while reading your report I decided to waste some money on Hey-High.com and 2 others on my watchlist. At 240 names, I've gotten a few offers but no actual sale yet, yes, I price high!!! 4 figures and above but I know the sales will eventually come. Well, no guilt wasting a few thousands dollars on something I'm actually confident in, I've lost more to things that doesn't even matter.

Most successful domainers "undersold" some assets in the beginning. I assume your acquisition cost for the name that got the 2k offer is under $100.

If that's the case, you should take the offer and reinvest the proceeds into more names. Too early to be firm and rigid with your pricing, in my opinion.

I think you need to be comfortable with not making sales to make it big in domaining.

One of the reason why Gpexchange has recorded so much success is because he priced high.

I don go change all my " good names" to 4888 lols, this people get money and Dem go buy if them wan buy.

Thanks for the advice, you are right about the cost and scaling up fast. Underselling is definitely a big part of domaining. However, I know the prospect trying to buy that domain, it's an AI company in Asia that got funding recently and they are on a ccTLD while I have the .com, no TMs, etc. Trust me, they will eventually come back BIG!!!

IMPORTANT NOTICE (kindly read to the end)

PROPOSITION: Domain Co-ownership

It is now a fact that domain business is a number game. In other words, the size of your portfolio largely determines, at the end of the day, the rate of domain sales you will be getting on a regular basis provided you've got good names.

For this reason, I want to propose a domain group of not more than 10 people who will contribute—equally—together to co-own domains.

How do I mean?

If you have 10 Dolls, as an instance, at 5 Dolls, domain pr0m0 rate, you will only be able to get 2 domains. But in a group of 10 people with 10 Dolls each will co-own 20 domains in an instant.

Intuitively, as a member of the group, in just a little time, you will be the proud owner of 20 domains with just your 10 Dolls that can only get 2 domains.

That also shows that if the group now has 6,240 domains (as projected by me for 5 years based on atleast 1 domain sale per month at 25% broughtback from each member profit shared), it equally means you own 6,240 domains, too, which would have literally cost 46.6M if any one person tries to own such portfolio.

Notably, this proposition DRASTICALLY reduces the burden of renewal cost, as renewal cost is being equally shared by the group.

Of course, chances of getting domain sales increases as the group portfolio increases on a monthly basis. However, PROFIT is shared between the 10 members of the group.

IN A NUTSHELL...

👉If the group owns 1,000 domains, 10% of it (100 domains) will be in each members Afternic account to mitigate risk of co-ownership palava.

👉Once a sale comes in, the member with the domain receives the fund and share it equally after marketplace commission.
📌2k (minimum pricing of group domain) will be shared 200 Dolls each.
📌5k will be shared 500 Dolls each and so on.

👉Of Course, each member can own his own personal domains separately.

👉Any or all members of the group can share any domain sale from the group in any platform provided the person states that the sale is co-owned by him and some group members.

👉Each member is mandated to register 3 domains on a monthly basis for the group, either the registration is done at once or at different timing within the space of 30 days.

👉Each domain to be registered in the group by any member MUST be scrutinized and accepted by the group before the registration is done.

👉Group name is Joint Domain Partnership (JDP).

👉 JDP will only focus on INBOUND DOMAINS, which can be BRANDABLE or EMD domains only.

Note, once 10 people show up, the group closes FOREVER.
