Bayo was a very bad stammerer who takes like a whole minute to complete a sentence. He attended an interview for the job of a door to door Bible salesman.. the boss of the company told him "Bayo I don't think this is the job for you" but Bayo asked to be given a chance so the boss gave him 10 bibles to sell. In 1 hour he was back. He had sold all 10 bibles. Very impressed, the boss gave him 50 bibles and in 3 hours he had sold all 50. Pleasantly shocked, the boss gave him another 100 copies and yet again Bayo sold them all. He had sold 160 bibles, his first day on the job! The boss was so impressed that he quickly summoned all company salesmen for a meeting so that Bayo could share his sales strategy with them all.. at the meeting, Bayo revealed his sales strategy as follows.. When he's with a prospect, he simply asks them "would you like to buy a bible at a cheap price *or you would prefer that I read a chapter in the bible to you absolutely free of charge* ?"

One mistake many people make is spending money they have not earned yet. Build first. Earn first. Then enjoy the results. Focus before flexing. Discipline before pleasure. Make the money first, the enjoyments will follow later.

If the money you have today, is less than the money you had in the past, with all due respect, you are a Financial Fool.

Why this kind reaction to what should be a reflective quote? I do not have the strength for your usual rude and insultive rants. Please, pass it on to those you usually do it with on this thread. Merry Christmas and Better Year ahead to you. Hope you get wiser and less like you next year.

according to you, I hope those that had to dig deep to contribute for either ransome, emergencies or catch up with depreciating purchasing power for themselves and dependants for survival sake are reflecting how foolish they are as well. undecided

But I get your point sha if narrowed down to investment and general spending decisions..

Just pray life doesn’t happen to you and you don’t develop any health issues.

If not you will know how hundreds of millions can turn to a negative balance. Then you will fully understand what the good book meant by “When you set your eyes on wealth, it is [suddenly] gone. For wealth certainly makes itself wings Like an eagle that flies to the heavens.”

I totally disagree with you. In the journey of life and wealth creation you have responsibilities and dependants because our clime is not balance. More so, investment is not foolproof. You may stake a good amount of your fund in an investment and it can fail due to many reasons beyond your control( government policies, climatic change, natural disaster, fire, flood, banditry, kidnapping, theft, corruption, yahoo boys, scammers etc).

That you are very successful year in year out and your networth is increasing does not mean you have the wisdom of Solomon. If there are human being that does not care about tomorrow, i believe the percentage is infinitesimal. Hence, majority wants to improve financially but, there are numerous factors beyond ones control. Therefore you are not entirely correct to call such an individual a financial fool.

Lesson learnt: In the quest to make money our risk appetite differs. Most people i know want to be better financially but, there are so many obstacles on the way that tends to eat up from ones investment.

Merry Xmas.
I quite agree with you that our market is very shallow and there is need for SEC and NGX to do more to increase depth.
However, I am still wondering why you are not putting this your knowledge and expertise into use in other jurisdictions where we have the sophistication and instruments you are looking for, the global stock market, crypto , volatility index and the likes.
Crypto does not seem to have masters. Anybody can sink in that ocean.
