I have also lived long enough to know that a man will cheat, married or not. A woman will too.

A married man who will not cheat on his wife will not cheat, whether he has one or 496 of them.

A married woman who will not cheat on her husband will not cheat on him, whether he's cheating on her or not. Some of them even close up once the man has gone and become celibate.

I have seen each of these, so it's up to you to choose what works for you.
