Will this attitude translate to her maltreating any young member of his family if they choose to come stay for a day or two?

Could her attitude towards a pet be a red flag on how She will deal with her subjects, other kids, and subordinates?

Maltreating my pets is the same as maltreating my family, my pets are family. That is a huge red flag for me.

So I'll not say it's a red flag to me. Anyone can hate an animal, whether it's a pet or not, so I'll say it's wrong to judge them harshly based on it.

If you're a pet lover, your partner should have some pet-loving in him/her even if it's little. Relationships should be about having things in common. If she maltreats your pet, it is a clear red flag. Don't take her to the alter.

I can't even date any girl that Is not a lover of cats and dogs.

Those two animals hold a very special place in my heart

No no no.., I had a very bad experience with it as a kid. It ate something precious to me and I was beaten for it. From that day, walahiii I hated cats. As simple as they seem, their cunning nature is next to none. I'll rather keep a dog. But cat? Lailaaai

For those ignorant about Islam, maltreating a pet, a roaming pet, even not member of your family - it is a sin; let alone maltreating innocent human being.

(1) She transfers her anger and hits the pet at any slightest provocation
(2) For instance, if She carelessly leaves something on the floor with the pet and goes out to buy something and the pet eats it. She can lock her in a secluded space for up to 12 hours without food.
(3) She can restrict the pet of food for up to 3 days (as a result of point 2 above) except an external intervention is involved.

Many of these things makes the pet to always run outside on sighting her or hearing her voice

I doubt it would indicate that she would be mean to his younger ones.

Nevertheless, the English have a saying: love me, love my dog.

If he loves pets and she does not, it may bring about some discordance when married.Is he the type that his pets stays indoors? Does he give them extra care?

He might want his kids to also enjoy pets. If she does not love pets, or likes them but they must know their place, the way a houseboy knows his place in the house like to never sit in the sitting or dining table, he needs to rethink. It is just a stupid mutt. I can't keep my dog caged all day.

It must be either the pets go, or she goes.

If he deeply loves her and can't do without her, the pets may need to go. However, if his love for pets are very strong, she may have to go.
