Make sure you have MTNN and Airtel in your portfolio. Airtel maybe difficult to buy. But, MTNN is always available. grin

But this eunisell does not have that great fundamentals.. with PAT of less than 400M for the 9months and revenue of about 1 billion if i am not mistaken. Yet e don go sidon for circa 140 naira

It is really a big company and into serious business. No wonder it has been gaining like mad since last Yr. Like joke it move from nowhere to hit #100.And has continued to move. The business is so diversified with strong products
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by presiade(m): 3:38pm On Jan 06
Well, that cannot be discounted for some small brokers--bigger ones may be exceptions. However, I agree that the issue may indeed not be unrelated to bandwidth NGX IT assets issues.
awesomeJ:
Not likely.

More likely to be a scaling issue with the NGX.

My brokers stream just fine any day deals are less than 30k.

The issue only happens when so many deals are happening in the market.

This is a market that typically did 5k deals per day up to around 2023.

Now we're seeing 50k, it looks like they haven't prepared enough for that.

It's to be sitting inside A. C doing nothing.

Airtel has been stuck for over 1 years now, for a company that has no problem other than an inefficient market

Guys,
Advice me on
Dangote,
Regency Assurance,
Geregu,
Transcorp. Should I buy 4 of them as a long term holder?

Any advice on other stocks to buy will be highly appreciated as a long term holder.

Based on this new tax law
If a company decides to buy out minority shareholders .lets say wapco decides to buy us out@#200.Which of the new tax law will apply from source
1 10% WTH
2 CGT
3 Exemption (based on reinvest clause in the new law)

NSE most of the time is a big paradox. Check all junk stocks you are cautioned not to buy and see how much they have delivered in the last 3Months.

Austinlaz has done over 160%.
Alex,over 200% .N1m here would have become N3m
Deep cap
Nsltech
Daarcom
Conhall
Royalex
Ellahlakes

The ones with all the fundamentals stay lagging.
Most of us here are after capital appreciation as dividend most times is even guaranteed. When they do pay; just 2 to 10%.

I personally need my bags to swell 3-5x. Dividend can wait.
It depends on your investment objectives.

It depends of you a trader or an investor.

It also depends on the type of investor you are either an income investor, value investor, growth investor or quality.

Investment is a marathon and not a sprint.

So when investing you use fundamental analysis and also consider the ability of the business to always deliver.

It is not during a bull market that we know who is right,

My source is Taiwo Oyedele via an interview on Channels or so.

That stamp duty thing probably concerns me more than you o.

I should have saved about N40k month to date, but it seems they haven't implemented it.

I called my brokers about it last year, they said they would look into it.

But NGX people are lax these days so maybe that's why the implementation is slow.

I deposited 500k to Morgan yesterday, they still removed N50 stamp duty even though they no longer should.

Let's just hope Taiwo was speaking the truth, (although I asked Ai and it corroborated). Then it'll only be for us to wait for brokers to push an update that eliminates it.

It is written: the ''dead'' shall rise with Christ when the trumpet sounds and He reappears in glory (second coming).
But some people would still be skeptical and not believe, even though our ''prophet'' has been saying it loud from the mountain top that the ocean contains abundant oil. (Ocean and Oil) grin grin

Taiwo is still insisting on using the tax law he forged and not the one approved by the legislation. So he no get anyone time now for implementation. He is making it look like gazetting is what determines the law of the land and not the legislators

Any govt that collects tax on movement of peoples' capital (fund transfers) is only stealing from them. Capital is neither profit nor gain for the govt to collect taxes on.
I blame our clueless CSOs, the academia, legislators etc. who allowed this fraud to happen

I told you guys that GTCO is a ₦112 stock based on my dividend model.

In other news, Cadbury added another 7%, pushing my JiJo to 20.9%.

Can we get it to 30%? I might need to set up a poll 😄

ositadima1:
According to my dividend discount valuation, GTCO should be at a minimum of ₦112. Just wait for the emotional sellers to push it down a bit, then enter. As long as they can maintain this ₦8 dividend—hopefully even increase it next year—the outlook remains strong. lipsrsealed

THE MOMENTUM SLOWED DOWN TODAY!!! WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT?
The market holding or not will depend on the fundamentals of most stocks in the market. And for one of the major drivers of this bullish trend, I don't think they doubt the fundamentals of this market to deliver!!! This major supporter of this bullish trend is not even concern about Tax or no tax and if they are concerned about the tax and decide to move, that tax will be amended.

But for now we should just watch the market will do!!!
