She came back to say she has gotten a partner and she didn't need more applications as she had selected from the ones she got so applications should stop.

She actually got so many applications.

Two things made the applications much.
1. The guy won't pay anything. This connotes financial independence.
2. While being paraded as a 'trophy' wife, the guy can decide to have kids outside wedlock.

It is a glorified girlfriend and boyfriend relationship. So it will be easier to comply especially for many typical African men.

Yes, some women would not evacuate a pregnancy even after a man has left them because they are OK with having and raising the baby all by themselves. And that is nothing new. (Children are raised more than 98% of the time by the woman alone, whether she is married or not, so it should not come as a shock to anyone that there are women out there who would choose to be single mothers even outside of marriage, as it is no different from being a single married woman.) However, for those who are not OK with it, they are very much able to get rid of it and move on with their lives after that. 🥱🥱🥱

And for the umpteenth time, feminism does not imply women do not want to marry men or have children. Instead, what you should already know by now, that we are in 2026, is that feminists are women looking for equal partnerships instead of the old ball-and-chains model of marriage.
