Honestly speaking, I've been meaning to create this topic. First off,I've noticed that the level of tribalism and political agitation is skyrocketing at an alarming rate sadly. However,has anyone else noticed unusual likes of some comments on political issues? I may be wrong but I feel there are people on this forum seeking to push a particular political agenda as a group or the forum now creates room for fake likes.

The population of nairalanders excluding guest can form a community,so,you should expect to see different people here,tribalist, scammers, different political affiliation,religious jingoist, online beggars,etc.

Hence,you will see different shades of opinions in every thread , political and otherwise.

They couldn't believe what their eyes are seeing and they call it fake likes. Tinubu won election and they said nobody voted him yet they keep attacking all yorubas, they created imaginary data boys to suit their narration. What if those likes are from data boys or are you people saying nothing like data boys again? 2027 is another blow.

a lot of senseless people in Nigeria in the first place is why we're here. Why we'll continue to change bad government for even far worse. Just make money and get out of this rubbish we call country. That's the goal. Nigerian is gone.

Nairaland, will there be a reform?

APC and Seun plus their lappy Geng and a particular mod are aware of it. It started before the last election. Seun carpet banned most well known names on the politics section and within a month their 'fake likes' generator started coming online.

I have seen their nairaland 'fake likes' generating machine in action and still see it whenever I want to. It's very easy to manipulate or catch because of how simplistic nairaland's UI frontend is.

It's something we can't get rid of at this point because the 'powers that be' are condoning it. Just keep reading the threads and whenever you encounter their yeye posts accumulating likes just know it's the 'likes generator's that is at play.

If you were very observant and with time on your hands you too can easily catch their generator when its active on threads.

By the way, most random accounts you see that spew spontaneous rubbish in support of tilumbu are a critical part of that mechanism whenever you see one that's registered after 2023 just laugh 😂 I was tagging them before but lost count

Mehn! This is so sad! S biased forum like this especially in Nigeria will find difficulty moving forward. People complain they are dropping and I can see the stats. People no longer visit here. It saddens me because I love the forum and enjoy the topics. I've also benefitted a lot here.
Hopefully, things will get better.

Probably the person or bot behind it was mentioning a fellow troll or laptop boy to come on. Im not neccessarily spreading Agenda but facts. This needs to stop for the forum to progress. Take a look at the comments from that particular moniker and be marveled.
