| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by awesomeJ(m): 6:01pm On Jan 14 |
Streetinvestor2:Abi 😁😁 Let me sha hit my N1bn target this quarter. If I trade N6bn this year, that'll be N30m in fees to my brokers. |

Hamachi:If you want a stock that will multiply your money fast buy TANTALIZER. If you are interested in dividend buy Aradel, Presco or okomu. CWG and Charms still have room for capital appreciation. Please do your own research. Good luck 👍 |

awesomeJ:They will send you a year end gift ![]() |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Streetinvestor2: 6:25pm On Jan 14 |
awesomeJ:That means u should be expecting nothing less than 2× as you own based on #30m |

Agbalowomeri:Back in 2014 when I was trading stock options my broker in Luxembourg (Saxo Bank) called me and gave me a personal account officer. Approx 6 months after that phone call I was totally wiped out. Never traded stock options again, at least not with any meaningful volume. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by awesomeJ(m): 6:30pm On Jan 14 |
nosa2:Hopefully when you master it, you will survive 6 years and still be thriving. Erstwhile, you just port to a different strategy that you understand 😁 |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by awesomeJ(m): 6:32pm On Jan 14 |
Streetinvestor2:N30m should be enough to make them do 13th month for some of their staff. I prefer that. Although it will be split between Atlass and Morgan, but each broker will get at least N10m |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by awesomeJ(m): 6:33pm On Jan 14 |
Agbalowomeri:Maybe I will negotiate for 0.45% commission. That tiny 0.05% will buy me 2 cows 😁😁 |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by nosa2(m): 6:34pm On Jan 14 |
awesomeJ:I want to respond, I know what I want to say but I don't know how to say it. Some times experience is the best teacher. When Warren Buffet stated the rule about not losing money he was speaking out of years of experience. Experience that can only be fully understood when you experience it. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by awesomeJ(m): 6:37pm On Jan 14 |
nosa2:We're saying the same thing. If you traded for up to 6 years successfully, your experience would have counted. This 6 months you mentioned was more of an experiment 😁 |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by nosa2(m): 6:39pm On Jan 14 |
awesomeJ:You misunderstood me. I had been trading for a long time, its just that my trade size grew so large that Oyinbo called me in Nigeria to give me personal service. They called me at my peak. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by awesomeJ(m): 6:41pm On Jan 14 |
nosa2:How long did you successfully trade for? Take note if you traded for 120months but only had 12 of those as profitable, you should report 1 year of success not 10. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by awesomeJ(m): 6:44pm On Jan 14 |
In any case, the whole point is for you to stop erroneously assuming that because you failed at a craft, someone else might fail. That's a faulty assumption, unless of course the person is following in your exact footsteps in the same market with the same sentiments. @nosa2 |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by nosa2(m): 6:45pm On Jan 14 |
awesomeJ:Years. I am not going into this now. I have been in this game for a very long time. I can make your argument better than you but I also know that the idea of a successful frequent trader is a myth. However, believing you will find a system that works is a right of passage and the baptism of fire is the only remedy. |

awesomeJ:No shaking. This is a movie I have seen too many times |

nosa2:With your own failures as episodes ba? Keep binging. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by onuku: 6:50pm On Jan 14 |
Is anyone trading using the Coronation App linked to Access Bank App? I used my Access Bank App to make 2 trades. The trades were executed, but the balance in the account is now zero. I have sent an email, but no response yet. The account balance should have so much money left after the 2 executed trades. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by nosa2(m): 6:57pm On Jan 14 |
awesomeJ:Traders always post their wins are rarely their losses. If a trader were to sit back and review their trading profits over say a 2 year period I am sure they won't beat the index. There is a huge element of gambling thrill to the whole thing |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by awesomeJ(m): 7:00pm On Jan 14 |
nosa2:Yes most traders. But you're wrong to think it's 100% of traders. Over the past two years I've only had one red month (March 2024). I haven't had a red quarter 😁 Thank God. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by awesomeJ(m): 7:06pm On Jan 14 |
When you consider that my highest green month as of 2025 is 15x more than the loss from this red month, it makes the red month loss even more immaterial @nosa2. Now remember that there are people like Mankind2024 who seems to consistently makes 4000% over a 4 year timeframe (based on what he tells us). He has found his strategy, I've found mine. You also seem to have one that works for you. Why exerting mental energy to prove that a strategy isn't sustainable cos you couldn't succeed at it 😁 |

If we win league in May will you enter market in June? @Agba What if Alhaji offers his refinery at under 2x book value or under 15x PE? |

| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by nosa2(m): 7:33pm On Jan 14 |
awesomeJ:I am not trying to say your strategy doesn't work. You are the one trying to say it does. It would be interesting to see the entire transaction sheet of a "successful" trader and compare it to the performance of the index. Most traders don't misinform deliberately. They just don't assess their performance accurately |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by presiade(m): 7:38pm On Jan 14 |
awesomeJ:What rate are you paying to Morgan Capital now? |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by awesomeJ(m): 7:46pm On Jan 14 |
nosa2:1400% vs 51.1% in 2025. Is that accurate enough for you as a performance assessment. I built a dedicated software to track this. Again, you're speaking about most traders, and in that case, you're absolutely right. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by awesomeJ(m): 7:46pm On Jan 14 |
presiade:0.5% |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Pennystockwarri(m): 8:08pm On Jan 14 |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by presiade(m): 8:13pm On Jan 14 |
awesomeJ:Are you sure? Is that the flat rate, or did you negotiate it? I thought they increased it to about 0.75% a while ago. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by awesomeJ(m): 8:21pm On Jan 14 |
presiade:I'm sure. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by presiade(m): 8:27pm On Jan 14 |
@Everyone, who else uses Morgan Capital and still gets 0.5%? awesomeJ: |
