@Everyone, who else uses Morgan Capital and still gets 0.5%?
Do you trade up to N100m every single month??

You can't be an investor that trades only once or twice a month and expect any concessions.

If we win league in May will you enter market in June? @Agba

What if Alhaji offers his refinery at under 2x book value or under 15x PE?

I get the execution summary from Morgan, then I manually input.

The software then does the rest: calculations, snapshots, reports etc.

When I have time I want to add a feature to make it build a regular income statement similar to those submitted by listed companies, especially now that i'm doing up to N1bn per quarter.

There are companies on the NGX that don't do up to N1bn in quarterly turnover 😁

Just that my margin is low.

Currently around 2.47%.

In November when we had bear, it was just around 1.5% (but I still made money 😁 margin was just tight)

I even thought you wanted to celebrate with me and Agba that we're finally lifting the trophy after a 23 year wait.

I wish he was in a rival club though, so I could pepper him.

1400% vs 51.1% in 2025.
Is that accurate enough for you as a performance assessment.

I built a dedicated software to track this.

Again, you're speaking about most traders, and in that case, you're absolutely right.
Are you comfortable sharing your transaction history?

I'm sure if someone were to analyze it you will see your assessment of your returns aren't so accurate
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by presiade(m): 8:41pm On Jan 14
I trade fairly well with them (maybe not up to N100M/mo, but it's big) and have substantial portfolio size.

The fact that you live in an illusion of my returns not being accurate, does it in any way change the fact that I've enjoyed the returns and grown my portfolio with ithuh

Is it that when you now do this your analysis, that's when my bank account will get creditedhuh

Like what purpose do you think it will serve other than you hoping that your illusions become real, and you getting comforted that you have a colleague in failurehuh

My brother, about this time last year, I didn't even have 100k of my own money, I was N5m in debt, I borrowed from Oxygen X at 156% APR.

Today, i'm trading N1bn a quarter.

Keep running all the analyses you want in your mind, I will enjoy my own reality and be grateful.

When you're able to trade N50bn a quarter consistently with profit , then maybe I will consider that you might know something I need.

For now, offer your analysis to the learners that need it.

P.S I used N50bn cos I imagine your current portfolio is probably 50x my own.

Speak to them then.

If you're consistent.

Even if it's N50m, as long as there's no month you do less than that, that should already get you 70% of the way.

Your large portfolio(Above N200m I suppose) should then get you the rest of the way.

It was from this platform too that I learnt my volumes could qualify me for a concession, so I'm happy to be part of the people informing you as well.

When you consider that my highest green month as of 2025 is 15x more than the loss from this red month, it makes the red month loss even more immaterial @nosa2.

Now remember that there are people like Mankind2024 who seems to consistently makes 4000% over a 4 year timeframe (based on what he tells us).

He has found his strategy, I've found mine.

You also seem to have one that works for you.

Why exerting mental energy to prove that a strategy isn't sustainable cos you couldn't succeed at it 😁
Believe all things!

My brother, what's the cost of believing it?

For me it's all positive, it's a motivation.

I mean, why do people even think there's any possible downside? Like if someone says they made 1000000% and I believed, will my portfolio reduce the next dayhuhhuhhuhhuhhuhhuh??

It's not an attack.
It's a clarification that his proposed analysis is completely useless to me.

If I couldn't assess my performances, I wouldn't be trading N1bn, paying N12m in fees every quarter without going back to the village.

Somebody failed at trading, but somehow he thinks he's the one who can help me assess my performance, you sef think am.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by awesomeJ(m): 9:04pm On Jan 14
And as for evidence, you're only entitled to it if I'm asking you for fund to invest. Since I'm not, I owe you nothing. @streetinvestor2

What I share are already more than enough evidence for anyone who has no stake and has an open mind.

Maybe you and him should ask ChatGPT which number is bigger between 1400% and 51.1% so that you can know whether or not I beat the index. 😁

I think their current rates are low enough for me to work with.

I may seek a 5-10 basis point concession in the near future though.

You have to admit, though, that such high-frequency trading is a little unusual. Can you enlighten us on why you trade so frequently? Or are you managing other people's money and getting paid by trading? What are we missing?

Why?
Cos I love maths
I love computers and
I love the market.

I'm not managing anyone's money. My portfolio is currently below N50m.

The volumes are this big cos the market has been very bullish. In bear markets I do just about 70% of my current volumes with the same portfolio size, and my profit margins are slimmer, that's what I had in October and November of 2025.

My long term goal is to consistently trade 1% of every volume in the market. Even when trade volumes grow 10x to $100m per day.

Sorry, it must have been a communication gap.

What I do is project levels for the index, I do not think it's possible to trade the index. Except of course you build a portfolio that mirrors it in composition and weighting.

Moniepoint, other Nigerian banks to charge 7.5% VAT on transfers, USSD transactions

https://dailypost.ng/2026/01/14/moniepoint-other-nigerian-banks-to-charge-7-5-vat-on-transfers-ussd-transactions/

This thing gets as e bi oo. Suppose I buy something from a seller who includes 7.5% Vat. If I transfer the payment I will then get charged 7.5% Vat again. I am effectively paying 15% Vat on the transaction. I think people will have to start carrying cash again.

I think you're reading the regulations wrong.

When regular banks charge for transfer fees, they always charge N10.75, N26.88 or N53.75

They've added 7.5% VAT amounting to N0.75, N1.88 and N3.75 respectively on their regular fees.

Fintechs like Opay and Moneipoint would just simply charge N10 or N30 for most of their transfers without any added VAT.

Now the regular is simply just asking them to begin charging those VAT, so it's just about N2M extra in the worst case scenario, you won't be paying any 15%

In the case of stamp duty collections too, fintechs were late to its compliance.
