Paying £7k with your monthly salary within 6months seem impossible. Only if your school go give you grace of 1yr which they won't.
Is better to pay it off with your normal savings and you can return it back when able

Who handles your application. I’ve seen 2018 get approval, while 2021 is asked for additional documents, have also since another 2021 get approval
