Welcome back
You have been too quiet and very scarce of late.
Hope all is well.
Which stocks are you picking or looking at aside Providus / Unity Bank ?

About 7 of your stock picks that I tracked in 2025 have all delivered more than100% gain.
Even the ''nonsense stock'' is on its way to deliver 400% gain grin grin

This may pose as a concern but the risk to investors using them is negligible.

Given the current market situation, ZENITH should be trading in the range N74.9 to N78.9. The market is probably waiting for the Board Meeting before price correction.

That's investors o.

Traders like me sometimes have up to 70% of our portfolios as cash domiciled with the brokers grin

I called them though, they said it's the NGX that has failed to announce a new MD. That they do indeed have a new MD.

Maybe I will trim my size with them for now, till I have better clarity.

I'm trying to monitor and research another stock that can perform like EUNISELL and NCR....
Hopefully, I'll identify one or 2 in the course of the search... smiley

* The one I've seen, no one can even get to see it buy on the exchange for now, it may need the regulators intervention before some quantities can be released for trading.....
OR, if they want to come for capital raising

These two stocks na 8th and 9th wonder. Anything is now possible on ngx beside companies controlled by cbn/insurance regulators. It is now for people to be smart when inside and not be trapped in the game because of excessive greed
This yr I no get strength to fight on top any stock on ngx.The corruption fit kill person if u continue. So na looking and selling mode I dey this yr..lol.
I will equally look to see if I could see too
I saw scoa and transexpress. I forgot of transexpress because some reason .I wanted scoa for jijo at #3 plus but no liquidity. It traded less than 100k units most days but I saw the game the MM was playing everyday by just dropping 100k units by close of business to move the price daily. Naija na only God fit deliver it

The illiquidity in TransEx is second to none...
It can trap for as long as can be imagined.

As for EUNISELL and NCR, I think they're undervalued for long with no one looking at their side......

See the case of MEYER with good dividend payment and small OS, yet it was stagnant....lots of improvements in the financials of some of these companies with strategic investors eyeing or buying into it...
By the time the MM reason am now, e go be like manipulations but I'll call it repricing.

What's the exchange rate when they were trading at kobos, what's the exchange rate now?
I guess some of them are just repricing and MM helping their ministries as well. Lol.

** Just my opinion anyway

We both know doing this with certainty is virtually impossible except you're clairvoyant.

Stocks on NGX "over-perform" for a number of reasons beyond fundamentals/company financial health.

The best you can do is guess a number of stocks likely to move that way....

Are you talking about me in particular or generally?
Yes, no one can 100% predict but there are some experts who can 90% predict at least.

What can you say about the place of FA mixed with TA or @Currentprice bedsheet?
Or constant review up of target prices due to certain factors beyond fundamentals alone?

Anyway, you're right in your own way but not absolutely right in some instances as well.

I for say make I give you one now, then you come back to tell me how it fairs in the next six mths to 1yr, but on what condition? 😁
Lol, don't mind me o, even if you ask I no go tell you because I don't owe you any proof..

If the new MD looks at his data, he may really need to consider how to make you as comfortable as possible as someone suggested earlier.

If possible, he can ask 'if you like fair skin or dark skin, tall or short, endowed frontally or back'

You can pass them to your friend Agba if things like that non de freak you.

On a second thought, this will not be a good idea as it will distract you and may propel you to start making losses.

Make they you buy you a more comfortable office table and chair, and include an Nvidia based PC

One case of regulatory irresponsibility and possible connivance is with the issue of free float.

Not meeting free float requirement is the reason why some stocks are way high.

NGX is adamant or do one say weak.

ppogba:
hmmmm!

This is one of the things that highlights regulatory irresponsibility, regulatory connivance and regulatory ineptitude that are nothing but ever present RED flags for the investing public.
There were more like this in the past and there will be more in the future as long as those saddled with regulatory responsibilities will NEVER hesitate to turn their eyes away for the FILTHY LUCRE.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by bolton08(m): 4:49pm On Jan 16
Its clock is ticking

Oando Plc (OANDO) has shown signs of recovery in shareholders' funds (also known as total equity or shareholders' equity) over recent periods, though it remains negative overall. This recovery is largely driven by strong profitability in 2025, particularly from upstream operations, legacy recoveries, impairment reversals, and other factors.

Key data points from the latest available reports (as of Q3 2025 / 9M 2025 ended September 30, 2025):
End of 2024 (December 31, 2024): Total equity was a deficit of approximately ₦361 billion (or -₦360.98 billion in detailed figures).

9M 2025 (September 30, 2025): Total equity improved to a deficit of ₦209.4 billion (group level: -₦209.38 billion to -₦209.43 billion across sources). This represents a significant narrowing of the deficit by about ₦152 billion (roughly +42% improvement in the equity position) over the first nine months of 2025, primarily due to a profit after tax of ₦201.3 billion (up 164% YoY), partially offset by other comprehensive losses.
Breaking it down by more granular quarters where available:

End of 2024: -₦361 billion (starting point).
H1 2025 (June 30, 2025): Shareholders' equity improved to around -₦306 billion (from earlier reports and summaries, reflecting partial profit retention).

Q3 2025 (September 30, 2025): Further improvement to -₦209 billion, with Q3 alone contributing substantially through strong PAT (around ₦138 billion in some breakdowns).
This marks a clear recovery trend in the last three quarters (Q1-Q3 2025), reducing the negative shareholders' funds deficit through profitable operations and balance sheet strengthening efforts. However, equity is still negative, indicating ongoing accumulated losses from prior years and financial vulnerabilities (e.g., high liabilities relative to assets).

What do you think about the comment from reddit?

Do NOT buy the Dangote Refinery stock immediately on the first day.

Wait 2–6 months before entering.

WHY YOU SHOULD NOT BUY IMMEDIATELY (IMPORTANT)

1. New stocks often launch at a high price

When a big company like Dangote lists, demand is very high:

• hype
• media attention
• institutional buying
• excitement from retail investors

This pushes the price up too high in the first days or weeks.

After the hype ends → the price usually drops.

2. Early investors normally take profit

Banks, institutions and insiders who got early allocation often sell some shares after listing.

This causes the price to fall.

3. Better buying opportunities come later

Historically, Nigerian IPOs behave like this:

Day 1–14 → price rises (hype)
Month 1–3 → price stabilises
Month 3–6 → price pulls back
After 6 months → strong buying opportunity

This happened with:

• MTN Nigeria
• Seplat
• Flour Mills
• Airtel Africa
• Dangote Cement (old listing behaviour)

THE BEST STRATEGY FOR YOU

Wait 2–6 months before buying.

You will get:

• better price
• less hype
• more clarity on refinery operations
• more stable market conditions

During this waiting period you will see:

• actual revenue
• performance
• crude supply stability
• production output
• profit margins

Then you invest with confidence.
Spot on

Waiting gives better clarity and better valuation, for initial public offering, valuation metrics available to the investing public are limited, therefore waiting for better clarity makes sense.
