missing the interview will likely lead to a refusal on this application, which could affect future applications a bit. It’s better to officially withdraw the current application instead of just skipping the interview — that way, there’s no refusal on record, which looks cleaner for the next application in May.

Your brother should contact UKVI to request a withdrawal, and also check with the university about deferring the start date to a later intake (May or September). Reapplying for the next intake is fine, but make sure to include all the required documents and the new CAS.

One problem with withdrawal of visa application,, UKVI may reject ur withdraw they may say ur application has been locked in and awaiting a decision so u have to wait for the decision regardless of ur sch resumption... It's too late to withdraw ur application

That's the best advice Bro.
If school resumption was January. After the interview, it may still take him 5working days to know his outcome. What is point of having +ve outcome and exceeding resumption date.
Let's even assume he got outcome on 12th. He grab a flight ticket on 13,it means he will arrive Feb 14th.
Who will compensate him for 1month lecture he missed?
To even settle after arriving sef take at least extra month. May session is less than 3months away.e beta make people start putting in for May /September.

I know people wey don apply Nov/first week of December, wey neva hear their outcome.
Na critical times be this and make people no put all eggs I one basket.

If I & you were told an applicant neva receive outcome after 2months and submitting all relevant documents, I go argue am is not possible.

-If they decided the outcome a day after Feb 11th, do you think the applicant can meet up to the deadline to register with his school or not let's assume the student live in Australia or New Zealand which take 24-36hrs by flight.?

2 months yes because it's been happening just not in this volume, I've seen complaints from 2023 on tiktok and naira land just that the people affected this year were much, again I said my deadline is already here I don't even have more than a week now for deadline
They can't interview me on January 30th and beyond if my deadline is January 30th, that guy was given 2 days before his deadline even though we know decision might not be feasible , these guys do what dey want to so they can still give him a decision on the 13th if dey want to
