That's the contradiction because it has resisted the sell mode of participants of the RI from when the price was below 3. Now price is approaching 5.
Correct observation.

Going forwards, If the results turnaround steadily towards growth, with dividends streaming as promised in the rights marketing, the price will continue to resist falling.

I don't always like to give answer to this type of question because there's no one way answer to it and it can sometimes send wrong signal........whereas, other factors could be responsible for the activities around it.

However, as someone mentioned up there, RI sellers, if that's the situation of things, then I'll sell to come back later......

I'll also sell because we are in the earning season and dividend investors may be eyeing dividend payers around this time.

Like I said, there may be twist or exceptions to anything at any time.....e.g. what if CHAMS plans to commence dividend payment too....😊
I fully understand. One can sell and watch with regrets as the price continues it's upward tragectory. And vice versa. Thank you for your wise counsel as always.

@Megawealth is a gem and very helpful on this forum; his stock picks have been goldmines that should enrich a lot of people here on NSEMPA.
He recommended Deapcap at around N1,00. His track record made me do some checks on the stock, bought some units at N1.70 but sold off when I needed cash. Somehow the price rally started 4 days after I sold off. I had to buy back at N3.99 and it's now moving towards the N10-N15 range.
In the last 1 year, he has recommended stocks that have yielded 100% gains and more: Cadbury, PZ, Universal, NB, Tantalizers, Deapcap, etc.
Unity Bank is next on the line grin grin
Same here. Bought Deapcap but sold early (with 50% profit) because I needed cash to invest in a physical business. The irony is that the physical business has not yielded any significant profit. But hope dey.

It's the activities of profit takers....
Many bought below 20
Did you buy at high price?
If you're a long termer, you could wait it out..
If the positive momentum continues, it will pick back.....
TA experts could assist here ..
Though not the TA gurus like Agba o, he's been bearish even when the bull persists in the market.....😁
Yes I bought high, lesson learnt.

Stockpromoter:
MUTUAL BENEFIT, AIICO & ROYALEX – INSURANCE WINNERS TO WATCH
🔵 Mutual Benefit Assurance Plc
Mutual Benefit is no longer just an insurance company.
Invested $64 million (₦96bn) in a producing oil asset
This gives the company dollar income and protection against naira weakness
Already exceeded recapitalisation requirements long before the June deadline
No need for emergency fund raising or dilution
The company is now focusing on:
Retail insurance, which is still largely untapped in Nigeria
Regional growth, with Niger Republic subsidiary now the 2nd largest insurer
📈 Bottom line:
Mutual Benefit is strong, diversified, and undervalued.
It has clear potential for major price re-rating going forward.
🟢 AIICO Insurance
AIICO remains one of the most stable insurance stocks on the NGX.
Strong position in Life insurance
Improved earnings and balance sheet
Better governance and consistency
📈 Bottom line:
AIICO is a solid long-term insurance play and should benefit from sector re-rating after recapitalisation.
🔴 Royal Exchange (ROYALEX)
Royalex is the turnaround stock.
Ongoing restructuring
Strategic investor interest
Improving balance sheet
Very cheap price gives high upside
📈 Bottom line:
Royalex is a patience stock with strong speculative upside.
Once restructuring is fully priced in, it can surprise positively.
What about recapitalisation requirement for Royalex?

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Prosper307:

Both are great and deal with commodities. I have both.
However, Presco moves ahead considering longterm earning, cashflow, & dividend growth that is less affected by external influences like product price volatility/swings and US energy policy shifts.

Do not underate how much Nigerian oil palm producers/refiners can make in the next 5 to 10 years beacuse their pricing model bakes in International CPO prices, FX premium, Security premium, and local inflation.

The elements in bold above plus CPO prod volume expansion are the reason you cant see Presco or Okomu's profit swing low due to any CPO price volatility. Revenue, Earnings, Cash flow and Dividend will continue to go up in the long run, so will Market Cap.

The fund managers (both pension and asset mgrs) and the moneybags quietly playing in the arena know this
