Why Unilever?
The guy is comparing stocks in the same sector and he has decided to use pe which is very simple and easy to use.
You can also help us to compare the 3 stocks mentioned using another ratio.

Wasnt that RI and private placement?
I'm referring to Public Offer, not sure though, just guessing....

The pumping could be for Private Placement then....
Yes I think you are correct. They may want to do either PO or PP at a higher price because the RI was oversubscribed and they returned back funds to me from my extra purchase during the RI which means they probably don't want to sell that low

Oh ok.
We needed a comprehensive and more detailed comparison of the stocks in the sector.
It will assist investors in decision making and to be well informed too.
Thanks.

It seems my life is like that.

If I start eating in a restaurant 5 mins before you enter, I will still be eating by the time you leave. Reason: I must chew every grain of rice properly whereas some people seem to just roll the rice around a bit in their mouth and swallow.

At home, and in restaurants, people joke that I splash too much water about on the table in the process of washing my two hands properly before and after eating eba or other swallows, not out hygiene consciousness but just personal habit of wasting time trying to get things perfect.

I don't know how a psychologist would analyse these things.

I was never a teacher, who knows how I would have wasted time to explain things to my students.

Okay, look at all I've just typed in response to your little remark instead of responding with a short one-liner like Agba.

it is more expensive compared to its peers. CAP now the cheapest, followed by Berger paint.
Absolutely. Meyer Paints is far too expensive using the AM model and comparing to sector peers. Both CAP and Berger paints have about same multiple indicating that at current prices market sees no difference between both.

We are all still talking books self.
What can we say about other stocks selling way above their peers, book values or any metric for that matter?
Once the happening guys reason am, we'll all see it repriced closer to its peers in the sector. 😊

MEYER OS: 531M
BERGER OS: 289M
CAP OS: 815M

Yes, revenue may varies but it's share price looking at market events is way lower than others in the group.......

Just trying to say the stock with the lowest PE might have the highest EV/EBIT, due to high debt and little cash

Ojukwu wrote in the condolence register that Awolowo was the greatest President Nigeria never had.

In my case, I'm alive and and strong, but it may be from the above that I am the greatest teacher, or pastor, that Nigeria has missed.

Those people are great at explaining.

Fair point you made in a previous post that a market participant can't use one metric to reach an investment decision.

A rising tide floats all boats just like a price uptrend in the market pulls along many stocks. Sometimes you dont even need any metric to take a position as long as the person is clear that s/he is speculating and maintains the same mindset for the live of that position.

Some other interesting stats about paint manufacturers

Return on Invested Capital - Berger 26.2%, CAP 34.3%, Meyer 9.2%
EPS - Berger N5.12, CAP N7.47, Meyer N1.10
FCF/Share - Berger N7.02, CAP N7.02, Meyer N0.78

From what PropTrader dropped above this post, ^^^ even the metric you suggest will see them come out last.
