What I tried to do was the following…i recognised the PAT at Q3 2025..6.6bill
I took the forecast of the company though for Q1 2026 and added to the above = 6.6+ 2.9 =9.5 bill...believeing that the bases for their forecast could already be present and active..
VFD OS = 7.6
EPS forecast = 9.5/7.6 =1.25 rounded off to 1.25
However if we were to work with the Q3 results and just assume that the company ‘s forecast for Q1 2026 could only be active in Q1.. Probably for some cyclical reasons…
We will then have 0.64 x 12 /9 = 0.85
Allowing therefore a PE x 0.85
= 12.40 x 0.85 = 10.54 price estimate

But then the market has to be right. Right? Currently above this figure... The market therefore sees some value above 0.85 Eps even with dividends factored in.

Even better still, should the VFD forecast run through all of 2026, we may be in for the 20s.

I DO NOT OWN VFD. HOWEVER, I COULD CONSIDER BUYING IF IT DROPS BELOW 10.
vfd will likely do 10.9 then 16 next bustop

ROYAL EXCHANGE (ROYALX) – Q4 2025 IN FOCUS
Market attention is shifting to Royal Exchange Q4 2025 numbers, as current forecasts point to over ₦1bn profit after tax in Q4 alone. This is significant because Q4 is typically the strongest quarter for insurance firms due to premium recognition, investment income and claims adjustments.
If Q4 delivers ₦1bn+ PAT, even a modest or breakeven performance in Q1–Q3 means FY 2025 unaudited results will close positive, confirming a clear turnaround for the company.
A strong Q4 would:
Validate Royal Exchange’s earnings recovery
Reset market perception from survival to growth
Support a re-rating ahead of audited results
As long as the Q4 profit is largely operational and not just one-off accounting gains, the market is likely to price in the turnaround before full-year numbers are released.
In insurance stocks, earnings inflection always comes before price breakout. Q4 2025 is the key trigger to watch.

The bear will surely come but nobody can actually predict when it will happen.
I personally think the market dynamics have moved beyond what we had in 2008 and the possibility of having a major crash in the near future is a very slim one.
Mathematically speaking, the probability of a major market crash is always low.

But because it can and may happen, smart investors (individuals or institutions) must have a plan for it so that they are not wiped out by it.

This is the reason for risk management: traders using stop losses, position sizing, limiting leverage and even insurance in general (beyond financial markets).

Stock markets go up over the long term. If there is zero risk of a correction or a market crash, then there will be no need for stop losses. Just buy with as much leverage as possible and become as wealthy as one can be.

Sadly, this is not the case. Thus, risk must be managed.

Cheers bro!

Please all this my talk of market crash is extremely premature oh!

Nigerian economy is just resuming growth. Even though it seems prices have risen, earnings have risen to justify the new prices. Stanbic for example released result today and despite the recent run up in prices the stock is trading with a PE of less than 5! That stock could easily touch N200 and still be buy.

So even though I believe we would end up in a bubble I don't think we would get there for another 5-7 years.

Some stocks are already in a bubble while most are fairly priced.
PE of less than 5 can mostly be seeing in banking stocks.
