yMcy56:The bolded got me rolling on the floor. I can't agree less. Honestly this is not the best or right time to bring someone especially a close friend to the stock market. Prices have risen so high that any new entrant into any stock this period is likely to receive deep hair cuts. I too am having someone asking me for stock recommendations for him to buy next week Monday. He has opened an account with a broker and deposited N1.5m. I have told him to just let the money to be sleeping there rather than use it for experiment on any stock as of now. |

nosa2:Banking stocks are too static for my liking. Even with very excellent results, banking stocks would just shake a little and then relax again. This is due to very large OS for most banks. Only Stabic IBTC is the exception due to its relatively low OS of 10bn unlike others having 30bn and 40bn. |

See result everywhere, how will man check all these result to know the ones that passed their exams and the ones that failed. I guess i will have to concentrate on my dividend stocks first before i check on all other ones in my portfolio. I believe every company want to meet up with the end of the month deadline ![]() |

jonnysessy:That's how earnings seasons are. To simplify things, you can check in this order : 1. Companies in your portfolio 2. Companies not in your portfolio but on your watchlist 3. Companies that are not 1 or 2 but are popular or big 4. Companies that people are recommending (physical, online,NSEMPA e.t.c.) 5. Others can follow Additional Tip To scan companies that you're not familiar with, you can save time checking their income statement first. If its a loss or no significant growth, skip till you get one in profit and with a significant revenue growth and profit growth. In addition, you may open a tab on trading view to quickly view the prices of the good stocks and compare with their EPS (in the financials) for a quick valuation. On the deadline for result release, I think they have until March. I stand corrected though. Cheers! Iskalamong! . . |

emmanuelewumi:That's about 57% of the entire export income from FTN Cocoa and ~40% of FTN Cocoa's entire revenue of 2025. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by chimex38: 12:13am On Jan 31 |
#FTNCOCOA Despite over 400% increase in Revenue due to global price of Cocoa, somehow our local cost of input raw cocoa beans has eaten deep into their gross profit and cause negative gross margin! Damn!! They need to either start exporting raw cocoa or increase the quantity of byproduct of cocoa export at an exponential level to beat this cost-margin. Or add a cocoa farms to their assets and reduce sourcing from farmers. FTNCOCOA is a sitting Gold mine. They somehow need Agriculture expertise to unlock this challenge. |

EDUECOThey need to own cocoa farms and increase their cheap soucre of materials like PRESCO and OKOMU are doing. Probably why dem no wan own farms, so they can easily hide the loot inside raw materials cost . |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Stockhunter: 6:37am On Jan 31 |
TIP wont just seize to amaze.. they far exceeded expectations and my projections of about 2B plus for full year PAT, raising the bar to 3B plus. They are yet to deploy the funds from right issue and PO. That should start reflecting from around Q2. So Q2 2026 is another time to look out for to see execution. The MD said in one interview with naira metrics that there is nothing stopping their share price from hitting 135 naira in 5 years time. I even think he is being modest cos it will do that before 5 years. When the RI and PO funds are applied to reduce third parties which he said will reduce their input cost by 40% and their Uganda site development. With uganda discovering oil and their site just being opposite the exploration site in Uganda. This stock go give us our retirement money. All things being equal. I just de smile as i de read the result. Abeg make them continue like this o. jckgroup1: |

Not to downplay your expectations. The bulk of revenue from TIP came from their TDU in Kwale. There is a lot of oil drilling activities going on in Nigeria now and in Delta state so it is understandable how they are able to make over 5bln in revenue. However that revenue streak needs sustaining so the business is not only sustained by the Kwale TDU plant which can be affected by a lot of factors. On the Uganda front, oil was discovered in 2006 not just recently however Total has a mega drilling campaign ongoing which targets over 200 wells. I am hoping their waste plant there is focused on waste during the production life of the wells and not just drilling waste. I am loaded here too. Stockhunter: |

SonofElElyonRet:You can imagine a very strong member of SIB posting this kind of result. I think all the negatives there happened in collusion with the CBN if not what's this? And they said SIBs are subject to higher capital requirements, stricter, more rigorous, and more frequent supervision, and enhanced liquidity reporting. The board, majority shareholder and regulators did the minority shareholders dirty. Yes the new Oga say na new headquarters him must build. Is this company worth investing in at this time? |
