Did you take the additional 166 million shares from the right offer into consideration?

I looked at the exact reported EPS of 134.38 using the weighted average

Crunch the figures yourself. Divide the profit after tax by the new outstanding shares
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by emmanuelewumi(m): 9:44am On Jan 31
The proceeds of the right offer of Presco was still with the company on the 31st of December 2025.

That was why they have cash of almost N280 billion and debt of about N151 billion.

The proceeds from the right offer got to the company just before the end of the year.

They should have paid up their debts by now. Looking forward to Q1 2026 result

People don lazy.

Doing it manually is the way to go. You catch things others miss. For example, FCMB annualize their EPS in their quarterly reports or there are now companies that use a weighted average outstanding shares in calculating EPS. These sort of things give the wrong impression as to how the company is doing.

My advise, spend a few hrs setting up a google docs spreadsheet with metrics you use in your analysis, once you have it setup, its just plug and play with the numbers. This spreadsheet can last many many years, and you can add more metrics as time goes by, I set up my spreadsheet few years ago and it has done wonders for me.

All this weighted average nonsense should not be allowed. They should use outstanding shares as at when the year closes

As a company they are obligated to follow the rules and regulations. But as individuals, we have our own duty to use the figures that will give us the picture we want to see

I don't believe there is a rule that says they should use weighted average for outstanding shares.

One of the companies on my watch list released a result that at first glance was looking very sexy. When I entered the numbers into my spreadsheet I realized that, while the result was good, it wasn't as sexy as I it initially looked. They used weighted average outstanding shares and this boosted their Earnings per share and price to book ratio

Na Tony's UBA started that bs. It's either company's shares have changed or not. Which one be weighted average. Will you pay dividends with weighting?

It is a way to mislead the unsuspecting public.
People should take extra care to do most of these calculations by themselves.
Weighted average rubbish.

Same with me. I sent the widrawal request after 12pm. It's not a red flag-they seldom honour transactions after 12pm.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by KarlTom: 11:26am On Jan 31
It's becoming too frequent @ the bolded.

Last week, I made a withdrawal request after 12noon and was credited same day.

However there is a lot of delay in honoring requests e.g. a WR sent by 8:30am was credited around 5pm...

Investors investing in a failure-tool (OandO) to embrace nation-building

So Oando is a failure tool to you. Your eye go clear soon.

Why is an Eps of N0.93 bad result considering the increase in OS?

The numbers are slight up. I mean profit after tax, income etc.

And sure they will pay dividend notwithstanding the result.

Is it a bargain at a PE of over 10? Compared to other available options?

What is the 5 years dividend history of Oando? cheesy
