It seem Otedola is acquiring more FBN shares in anticipation of seeing through merger with GTB.

Still speculative though.
I also heard he is accumulating GTCO shares.

Eventhough the stock market wasn't so winning last week, here are Top 10 stocks that really gained. (Link below)

One of the reason stocks didn't perform well last week was because most Investors moved funds into the capital market as the capital market did well last week, especially if you do fixed income and MMF.

The reason is simple, banks wanted to balance their books for the month end so they needed liquidity, people in the capital market provided it even Stanbic mmf that used to be around 15% jumped to 16%.

If this is true then Ote$ is a believer of Ted Turner's philosophy that owning 10% of a really big company is better than owning 50% of a small company. Merging FIRSTHOLDCO and GTB will give birth to a behemoth of a bank.

At the bolded , I guess you meant Money Market

At the bolded , I guess you meant Money Market
made a slight mistake in the wording but it still the same semantic, Capital market or Money market because eventually, money in the capital market run deals in the short term money market except for long term bond deals.

CAP, BERGER, MEYER
https://businessday.ng/market-intelligence/article/cap-berger-meyer-which-performed-better-in-2025/

NSEMPA analysts were kinda in Sync with this.
Thanks for posting this article..
It's a well known fact that CAP is much bigger than BERGER and MEYER if looking at comparison but there are other efficiency areas of MEYER that makes it stood out and position it as a growth stock......

It's just like comparing UBA to WEMA for instance, UBA may be a big player, but WEMA is also upcoming and we could see how it was playing catch-up in some areas too....

Dividend payment is not possible in the next 15 years until Trillions of Naira is injected into the business in form equity. This will enable the business to stabilize

Oando group (Consolidated) Performance
- Revenue vs. Cost of Sales
- Revenue dropped from ₦4.09 trillion (2024) to ₦3.21 trillion (2025).
- Cost of sales was almost equal to revenue, leaving only a slim gross profit of ₦27.7 billion in 2025 (vs. ₦155.9 billion in 2024).
- This shows the core trading operations were under heavy margin pressure.

- Key Profit Drivers in 2025
- Reversal of impairment on financial assets: ₦573 billion gain (vs. a ₦76 billion loss in 2024).
- Finance income: ₦381 billion (huge jump from ₦47 billion in 2024).
- Tax credits: ₦226 billion (vs. ₦163 billion tax expense in 2024).

- Bottom line
- Net profit: ₦241 billion in 2025 (slightly higher than ₦220 billion in 2024).
- The profit was not from core oil trading but mainly from accounting reversals, financial asset recoveries, and tax credits.

Assuming interest rates on the N3 Trillion debt is at 15% which is rare

That will be N450 billion on interest payments alone, when will they pay down the principal amount?

I think creditors should convert their loans to equity, that will give breathing space to Oando

Working for the banks, as you once put it.

As for us Oandites, we shall continue to jijo it, collecting our redistributables and wishing for one massive oil bull to come one day and help us wipe all the problems away.

In fact, all these negatives are why it remains affordable and jijoable.

You can't jijo Aradel because it's price has gone beyond frequent gyrations.

Those who are keen on OANDO should take time to read the auditors report on the 2024 AFS. It helps you understand what you are getting into so that you plan your move appropriately.

0.22 is the weighted average. The fully diluted eps should be 0.11.
4.13 billion shares was used for the calculation.
The outstanding shares increased to 8.27 billion after the right issues.

I don't really understand why they used the previous outstanding shares even though right issue was in 2024.
