Hope they will be better at managing acquisition debt than our other friends in the O&G sector.

mikeapollo:
It is because of expansion and acquiring more interest in oil fields. The upstream oil industry is highly capital intensive so once you expand it comes with huge investments and debt until you ramp up production and stabilize over the medium to long term.

Chams Holding Company plc's subsidiary, Chams Consortium Limited, has received a significant win in its long-standing dispute with the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC). The Federal High Court in Abuja has affirmed a Final Arbitral Award in favor of Chams Consortium Limited, upholding the validity and enforceability of the arbitral award worth N52 billion plus interest charges.

This judgment strengthens Chams Holdings' financial position, reduces legal uncertainty, and improves visibility of potential economic benefits from the concession. It also reinforces the company's balance sheet resilience and supports cash flow prospects and overall financial stability.

The ruling reflects positively on Chams' governance and contractual discipline, affirming its adherence to due process and structured dispute resolution. This outcome boosts investor confidence, given the strategic importance of identity-management contracts to Chams' business model.

Chams Holding Company plc will make further disclosures as required by the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) if there are any material developments.

All Ellah bashers, watch this video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwVhIrLc4IM?si=IfnwXO7Fk--fhFKA

Ellah looking to be a billion dollar company in the next 5 years.

PO extension was for institutional investors to have enough time to adequately participate

Part of the financing needed to acquire ARPN already in place before the PO so Ellah confident of closing the acquisition deal.

PO need not be fully subscribed for Ellah to close the acquisition deal

Dividend payment to commence by year end

Strategic Goal: This acquisition aims to position Ellah Lakes Plc as a dominant agro-industrial player in West Africa, providing immediate scale and cash flow.

Honestly, i am not really impressed with the result.
70% of the profit before tax comes from ''other income'' and ''share of profit from associate''
They have a worrying receivables of 2.56 trillion, borrowing ballooned to 1.7 trillion from just 40 billion previous year, decommissioning liabilities of 3.35t, payables increased from 120b to 2.9 trillion.
In the share holders equity, non-controlling interest is now above 50%.
Ever since they came to Ngx, i think they have learnt the act of playing with the books unlike them.
But they increased via 2 acquisitions, controlling shares in ND western and indirectly Renaissance Africa Energy within the last yr.
Probably reason for increased borrowings.

Facts behind Ellah's PO... Hewitt Benson says they expect N24b profit by year end but Chuka Mordi uses the word revenue which I think is the correct position..

N100 price in 5 years time is achievable.. probably a much higher price!

I pray all goes according to plan. It's worth believing

You human beings dey too quick to judge somebory! Me I no wan judge which one better or worse pass.

The Scriptures say thou shall not judge......because we don't know the end from the beginning.
Remember, the Lord granted one ''bad man'' access to heaven because he repented at the last minute.
Wale maybe going through some serious deliverance and repentance right now, but you don't know. So don't judge yet until the last show! grin

For me, Wale submitting reports early enough is an indication of willingness for repentance and dedication towards a plan that may be beneficial. I am hopeful

Just leave them.
Unbelievers are usually very stubborn; they don't believe until they see a miracle!
That miracle will surely happen, whether very soon or later.

Lol. How do you folks interprete financial results? You call this not good? Really?
The balance sheet has moved from a mid-cap profile to a mega-cap powerhouse.
Total Assets: Surged by 495% to ₦10.42 trillion (FY 2024: ₦1.75 trillion).
Property, Plant & Equipment (PPE): Jumped to ₦5.01 trillion from ₦676.6 billion, reflecting the acquisition of productive oil and gas assets.
Decommissioning Liabilities: Increased significantly to ₦1.46 trillion, a long-term obligation associated with the newly acquired fields.
Total Equity: More than doubled to ₦3.48 trillion, primarily due to the addition of non-controlling interests from the new subsidiaries.
