I am still a small cap investor but I started buying shares with 20k in 2020 but now I am now investing a couple of millions. To agree with you, 1 million is a big investment for a starter. Investment grows overtime.

In line with my projection, naira broke below 1350 today to close at 1348.95

Next psychological resistance is a break below 1300.

Naira at 12xx.
We hope for that to happen this quarter. 🤞

Everyone will stick to their opinions na.

If about this time last year, I was trading a N2m portfolio and borrowing N1m from funny lenders at 156% APR, and now I'm made N2.6m in a single day, with the portfolio having grown over 2000% to now almost N50m, do I really need any one to convince me that I've been blessed with a working strategyhuh
Chief, you said you trade the index, the last time I asked but I have tried to locate the ticker for the index but I can find it. Please can you help me navigate through this to locate it.
Thanks bro.
I use Morgan capital

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by essentialone(m): 6:11pm On Feb 11
The National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) has set July 30, 2026, as the deadline for insurance and reinsurance companies to comply with the new minimum capital requirements. This is in line with the Nigerian Insurance Industry Reform Act (NIIRA) 2025, which was signed into law by President Bola Tinubu on July 31, 2025.

The new minimum capital requirements are:
- *N10 billion for life insurance companies*
- *N15 billion for non-life insurance companies*
- *N25 billion for composite insurance companies*
- *N35 billion for reinsurance companies*

NAICOM has emphasized that the deadline will not be extended, and companies that fail to comply will face regulatory actions, including liquidation or merger.

I don't trade the index o.

If I did, I would only have made 0.78% today,

But I made over 6%.

I don't think you can trade the index.

Except you mock it.

Like build a portfolio that replicates it in composition and weighting.

Ok so if I get you correctly, you build a portfolio that mirrors the index.
So how many stocks do you have at a given time in your portfolio and how long do you hold.

It's easier if I just tell you I only use the NGX as a channel to receive funds, cos I like it.

I'm not the one who sends the funds or fills the orders, that's why i'm shocked to see about 1350 trade alerts in just 2 days.

Even sometimes when it becones too cagey and too risky, just make sure you secure your capital FIRST and leave every other target for the time being. Live goes and you recover in due course

He trades daily.
E.g 5m @3%= 150000
another 4m @ 5%=12000
Another 1m @ 9%= 90,000.
If you keep at this daily, you may also encounter losses or traps in some stocks on the index.
But net gain by month-end should far exceed the losses and brokerage fees if you are quite good at it like he does.

you could also leave your losses(traps) as paper loss until it breaks even or bull surfaces.(essentially making 100% gains).

Liquidity and right stocks picks is the issue in a bear market, but if you keep your quantities low and have knowledge of the stocks in question, you can reduce the rate you get trapped.(skill involved).

In a bull market as we have currently, liquidity isn't much an issue. One could even trade 10million luckily @8-10%=800k- 1million
(bullish and very liquid stocks).
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by chimex38: 9:06pm On Feb 11
^^
That's my understanding of the process.
I think it can be mentality tasking and risky for newcomers.
But I give it to him. He seems aware of the terrain and embraces the risk involved which you and I may not.

It becomes interesting if one hardly sells and reinvests the gains monthly. The compounding effect!

He has said sth similar.
Probably take time to go through his past posts. @stokfrick
