The ideal customer for a stockbroker. And for us NGXGROUP shareholders. Trading fees raining like water. grin

chimex38:
He trades daily.
E.g 5m @3%= 150000
another 4m @ 5%=12000
Another 1m @ 9%= 90,000.
If you keep at this daily, you may also encounter losses or traps in some stocks on the index.
But net gain by month-end should far exceed the losses and brokerage fees if you are quite good at it like he does.

you could also leave your losses(traps) as paper loss until it breaks even or bull surfaces.(essentially making 100% gains).

Liquidity and right stocks picks is the issue in a bear market, but if you keep your quantities low and have knowledge of the stocks in question, you can reduce the rate you get trapped.(skill involved).

In a bull market as we have currently, liquidity isn't much an issue. One could even trade 10million luckily @8-10%=800k- 1million
(bullish and very liquid stocks).

Apparently still under construction. Well done. We need the Nigerian version of the Bloomberg, MSN Money sites. Kudos to NSEMPA, Stockbubbles, NGXForum. This NGX sky is big enough for you all to fly. I personally need a replacement for Yochaa's watchlist feature which does not go beyond 26 stocks.

Don't paywall it yet o. grin

awesomeJ:
My highest single day NGX earnings so far:

- N2.66m
- comes to about $2000 for 5 hours of work
-comes to around $1m annualized pre tax earnings.
- over 3 years of minimum wage in a single day
- gotten with a portfolio below N50m
- about 56% are already realized

- more than my monthly earnings in October and November last year when market was slow

- more than my earnings for the whole of Q1 2025

God is awesome 😎
Nice one

Sounds like…..

“Goes fishing Monday to Friday. Like 10 lines all in the stream. Whatever tugs at the line he hauls in. Pulls in all the lines at the close of the day and goes home to prepare for the next day”

The lines could be e.g 10 million, 1 million, 100,000, or anything. Requires a lot of discipline to pull all the lines in at the end of the day. Not a strategy for just anyone. Luckily on NGX no loss ( line) can exceed 10%. Maybe awesomeJ would throw more light on his strategy. Main issue...how to pick the daily winners.

Strategy is proprietary sir 😁

Although it's important to state that it's not entirely physical. Something along the lines of the race is not to the swift.

Tried it for a few days in January. The harvest can be a major motivation but the mental stress of having to comb the market for what to look for the next day and the share attention it requires all week were just too much for me. Maybe he has some tools he deploys. Big kudos to him.

True.. I think he doesn't mind; provided the net-off is a gain and not a loss even if by 1%-2% daily.

Patience and long term focus is very key in this stocks market game.
I bought some 3million units of that RT Briscoe at about 0.60k and sold off around 0.80k. Now it is almost N15! Unbelievable!

How are you positioning for Dangote refinery IPO?

It will be massive, keep some cash or better still offload some stocks now that they are at all time high n keep the cash for it.

Warning - This is an opinion not a financial advice

There could be more to it.
Might not be as literal as I know and presented it.

Hedge funds that bulls even during bear in-well established markets already exists.

What I am skeptical is long-term sustainability not possibility.

I am sure if you also lived in early 20th century and being sold the "monkey idea" of the possibility of a flying object(Airplane ✈), even when gliding objects far superior to kites already exists.
You would probably be among those who would still call it outrightly a "Monkey" project without consideration.
