Pa Emma is right on the prices showing on CSCS. Please is there a reason the chams I bought 2 days ago is not showing yet on CSCS but shows on my broker platform. Could it be cause of settlement?
To the best of my knowledge, stocks settle T + 2 days. It is after it has settled that it would reflect on your CSCS statement.

Cheers!

Problem is you're referring to annual interest.

The 8 zeros we saw here came in in 5 days.

That's a 52x outperformance 😁😁
I know , that’s the beauty of stocks , get both capital appreciation and dividends but more risk , also not possible to replicate that every week , even monthly grin

Fixed deposits , sure rewards low risk .

In all naira assets should do well this year

Use Gemini preferably not ChatGPT or Grok. In 2013, the NGX market cap was around 13.3 trillion naira while the exchange rate was 155 to the dollar.
If we beat 87 Billion USD now we would likely have the highest market cap since the financial crisis in 2007.

Edit: Using Gemini now, I think I even understated our 2026 performance compared to 2013.
Based on the time value of money, the NGX is yet to break even in USD.

Leave the general market alone and talk about the stocks in your own portfolio if they beat currency devaluation

You are right. I checked for MTN and I got this compared to their historical highs in 2022 (since listing in 2019).

Before the 2026 surge, MTN's previous dollar "ceiling" was roughly $9.8 Billion in 2022. By crossing the $11 Billion mark today, MTN has officially surpassed its previous records, making it one of the few Nigerian companies to achieve a double-digit billion-dollar valuation alongside Dangote Cement.”

Team Presco, get ready for N5000 per share in the next 2 years

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by emmanuelewumi(m): 11:40am On Feb 15
We thought Presco was expensive at less than N200 in June 2021, but the price now

Unfortunately core value investors who don't know how to analyze growth and quality misses the opportunity to load more 5 years ago

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by emmanuelewumi(m): 11:46am On Feb 15
So Presco was expensive at N71 in June 2021

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by emmanuelewumi(m): 11:46am On Feb 15
I have always told informed investors not to underestimate how high a quality cum growth stock can fly

If you are a core value investor, you will continue to miss opportunities in the market if you don't know how to identify quality stocks and growth stocks selling at a reasonable price.

@Nosa, take note.

@Nosa, take note.
For a long term investor, being a value investor is like your first degree in order to succeed in the stock market.

After you must have mastered how to select value stocks, you need to learn how to select growth stocks and allocate the right valuation to them. Such stocks might appear expensive in the short run. This stage is more like a master degree in the University of Stock market.

The last stage is how to identify quality stocks and apply premium valuation to such stocks

Don't be too hard on yourself and it will also do you no good if you continue to look in the direction of village peole for your misfortune.

The people you see here as successful have given years into the business and learnt a lot of leasons along the way.
Number one, you need to modrate your greed. Two, buy/borrow/steal patience, it is the bedrock of success in this business. IT IS NEVER A GET RICH QUICK VENTURE. Three, acquire basic education on how to spot good prospects. This forum is heaven-sent in this regard. And, just take it one day at a time.
